No chance of that happening now...

I don't personally use GPlay for Movies/TV but I have friends that do.

Google Play does not have an option to remove content. They will grant refunds within the refund period, but otherwise, there is no way to remove content from your Google Play account (I've tried).

They did in 2016 when I originally wrote it, now they don’t have that option. I’m not sure why they removed the feature that set them apart.

If a code is redeemed on GP and then the account is linked to MA will it still transfer?

If it is an MA title it should port - however, there are rare exceptions.

Not for movies, but I went all in years ago for TV shows that weren't getting blu ray releases but were getting HD releases digitally. (The show that actually kicked this off for me was Castle.)

It was Google or Amazon back then, and Amazon was garbage. Still is, really.

That said, the Google TV app doesn't really work for me, and hasn't for years, so I have to watch through Youtube, which sorta sucks.

Have movies and tv shows from Google through UV codes (redeemed in the past) and through buying items.

Have found they seem to be discounting movies and tv shows less these days and seemed to have stopped selling complete TV seasons. Do use Play points & google opinions app to earn some google credit

Found with the Google TV if you download a TV show you have to connect to mobile data or Wi-fi to start the playback of the episode/tv show.

Think the selling of tv shows/movies will be transferred over to Google TV from the Play Store at the end of this month which could make finding what is discounted even harder (for example discounts seem to be displayed less on Google TV and sometimes you have to go through a page or two to see what a tv season price is)

The main advantage of GooglePLay for me is that I can do a playlist via Youtube. I can queue up a movie with other things i find such as Cinema idents, trailers etc, and create a nice evening's viewing. No other streaming service offers this feature.

The only reason I use Google Play Movies. Is because of Google Opinion Rewards Surveys. I have brought 40 movies so far. I usually buy only if they are MA.
