New to Wii? Here are some components when making your decision on the New Console and the Accessories you need to make it happen.
Of Course you need the Console: ![]() Now the Wii comes with one Wii remote and one Wii Nunchuck, so you will eventually need additional controllers for multiplayer games however the Wii Sports game can be played by sharing the controllers Some useful Accessories are:
Fitness Oriented? Grab a Wii Fit Plus with Balance Board and there are a dozen games that add on to this balance board component EA Sports Active To be further updated |

I just got the Mario anniversary Wii edition where it's all red. with the new Mario game. I notice there's ports for the Gamecube controllers. don't know much about the Wii but I got it at a good deal with some older games. Do you just pop in a gamecube disc in the wii and it will play? i would like to play some old Gamecube games.

Not sure if this the correct place to ask, but I didn't feel it needed a new thread (maybe it does?)
But, where can I get Nintendo brand GC controllers? Just bought a Wii off my friend and I want a GC controller for Brawl and Melee Thanks in advance! |

I recently pulled out my Wii console from the closet and set it up.
![]() I just started playing for the first time. ![]() I’m having some difficulty in using the nunchuck controllers and needing familiarity with the button layout. |

Reviving this thread...
I totally recommend buying a Wii Classic Controller over the Wii Classic Controller Pro because the first one has analog trigger while the second revision has digital triggers (I can't tell you how much I hate digital triggers) and it can be used to play GameCube games. [Show spoiler] Yes, GCN games though the system has to be modified so it's recognized as such as this beats buying the GCN Wavebird controller (I had one and never liked it too much, it was too big without much going for it). The main problem with the WCC is that the d-pad and analog sticks tend to get very yellowed or dirty, sometimes due to usage while others due to filthy hands. But when it's all white, damn, it looks really adorable and not many controllers can be called adorable. ![]() |
