These covers are getting better everyday! Hey dv8, any chance you're gonna make covers for Braveheart and Gladiator that match the 300 cover in your avatar? That would be sweet....maybe even one for King Arthur. Just thought I'd throw the idea out there if it hasn't already crossed your mind. Keep up the AMAZING work.

I want to start off by saying great work to everyone who has posted some of their custom covers, the time and imagination is appreciated.

I was wondering if some of you could advise what program(s) you are using to create your covers and what type of printer & paper you are using to get the best result. Also, if possible could any of you provide me with some templates? I would like to try and give this process a shot and see how I do.

Again, thanks to everyone for the help and the great covers. I check this thread just about everyday to see what new things people are coming up with.

Thanks again.

There are plenty of spaces, sometimes it just looks different in the cover template at that angle.

This is the terminology Warner and Lucasfilm used on the real version, so I kept it to be official.

Actually working on them now. Just need to focus, I start to many projects at once. Just need to finish the ones I've started.

That's Awesome! I can't wait to see them when they're finished. Kingdom of Heaven might look good in that style cover as well.

If you can afford it Adobe Photoshop is the premier program for graphic design, however it costs like 700... but dont fear because there are free alternatives (they are not at the same caliber as Photoshop, but they beat using paint :P ). These programs are GIMP and Paint.NET. Truthfully I havent really used either of them (I own Photoshop), but I have scene some decent stuff come out of them. You can try Photoshop out for free here, but you are limited to 30 days.

Thanks Old bones and jstasa51. I'm still tweaking it a little, but it was probably my favorite to make so far. My excitement for the new release was accompanied by mixed feeling about the cover. Only problem is that there isn't a real wealth of pictures for some of these foreign titles. I watched Hero again last night and wanted to start a cover, but there just aren't enough high quality pictures out there that haven't been used and over used for that one.

I love this thread and the designers on it. I have been and am continuing to learn so much from seeing peoples' work. I really want to thank all of you designers out there for sharing with us.

Has anyone seen a cover for The Office S5 here or elsewhere on the interwebs?

I eventually will do one with the rest of the series (Including South Park and It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia). You wouldn't happen to know the size of the spine for 4 disc cases.

BPM:
https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=95555 - Custom Cover Printing Thread
Step 5, you spelled leeway incorrectly; you put 'elway'.

Just figured I would tell you about it, was looking over the that thread for when I print some of your custom covers .

I'm not sure. It's for a friend. I was trying to find him a 4-disc case I thought I had from swapping out my Planet Earth, but couldn't dig it up anywhere. So it may be a Meadwestvaco Vortex case when I order some for myself.

I was just wondering if this thread is mostly like an art thread or if you can actually download the user created covers. I've asked two separate people for links to their covers but haven't got any replies...

I don't want to keep bugging people if this isn't that kind of thread. I'm new here on this thread, so i'm not really sure of the ropes.
