As a Sony TV fan, this sounded rather mediocre. For one, definitely way to much to own, but again this seems to be targeted for people that can throw money around. I like that 4K is coming, but at the same time, there's not much 4K content(some so-so movies), or accessories to match up with the tv set(in less you count the RED player). And its really really early in the 4K tv game to expect the best from the technology. Too many emerging technologies coming at once IMO, OLED, edge-lit, full array led, ect. If I had the money for this tv, I would still wait a few years for them to perfect the technology or at least put full array LED.

I hear you I saw the TV it was amazing but for 28k in BC tax included it is a lot. If some one gave me 28k to spend on home theater equipment I would spend it on audio because that 28k would make all your audio sound it's best right now, where as the TV only has only 10 4k movies.

I know that Sony's 4k tv is an LCD and Pioneer's Kuro was a plasma, but I think it is insane that a $ 25,000 4k tv can still not equal the Kuro for black level production.

I bought the 55" XBR-55X900A locally here in town and they will be shipping it to me within 5 days of hitting Sony warehouses (end of April or early May).

Pretty stoked about getting my hands on this set as I've been in the market for a new TV for several months and I'm a big fan of LED and Sony.

I've been a Sony user for many, many years (even when they made the XBR 720p plasma). I love their XBR TV's plain and simple.

Same here. I just ordered it from Best Buy today. Kinda happy I waited on moving up from the HX750. Was about to buy the HX950 6 months ago.

Best Buy was literally the worst buying experience I've ever had in my entire life. I returned a TV on them years ago and it took them two months to process a twenty-five hundred dollar refund. I don't even go in there anymore; not even to buy a DVD. They suck and it's no wonder many college finance and accounting textbooks make fun of them for their astronomically high debt to asset ratio. They won't be around in a few years. They are broke and have no money.

I like that. I'm sticking with my 2D Kuro for now (my bro's got a 3D LCD). I'll upgrade my TV when I get 4K/3D OLED noticeably bigger than my 60" Kuro. All my money's going into an audio upgrade. I've been researching that for a couple of years now and I finally have some idea of what I should buy.
