Has anybody seen or is anyone willing to make custom BD covers for either Jin-Roh or Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honneamise?

I don't want to keep bugging people if this isn't that kind of thread. I'm new here on this thread, so i'm not really sure of the ropes.
Most people will provide you with links via PM. However this system was just taken up by the majority of the artists here due to a recent debacle. I am sure they are not used to getting so many private messages; or they always get a lot and now they get even more.

There is also the chance that the PMs don't get seen. I tend to post in this thread when I send out a PM to one of the artists. I know it might be dual purpose wastefulness but truthfully I have gone multiple days not noticing that the inbox counter was at 1 unread.

Who are you trying to contact? The rest of us might be able to tell you whether they have been around or not.

I PM'ed dv8pdx about his star wars season 1 cover.

I read that something happened here, but not really what it was fully. I just gathered someone was stealing and reposting covers in another forum.

I'm not looking to steal anything, in fact i'd rather pay the artist to print it out, put it in a case, and ship it to me... lol.

Anyway, thanks for the response (and the guy above you). Like I said, I don't want to bug anyone. I was just wondering how this thread worked. I generally stick to the PS3 thread, I haven't been in here much. The Star Wars Series actually brought me to this thread.

Try asking a little more politely and in a more direct fashion. He'll probably hook you up if your nice about it.

Whenever the double dip for TDK comes, I'm hoping they choose this as the cover *crosses fingers*

I'm sure all our artists are going as fast as they can, lets take time at this time of the year to wish them all a Merry Christams, Happy Hanukkah, or Seasons Greetings, enjoy their work, the movies, concerts, or TV shows on Blu and each other. THANKS!

Looking for some Hi-Res US versions of the Harry Potter movies. There seems to be some UK versions listed here already and they look pretty good. Can anybody help?

I didn't even notice that those were UK covers until you mentioned it, hah. There are two custom covers listed in the original post's list.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince by dv8pdx

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Book Style) by CJS234

I really like dv8's cover, but the book style is a unique take on a cover design too. I am only up to page 30 in the main list so you might wish to search through the thread. Hopefully others here can point you in a good direction.

No worries I have some really low res version of the first 5 movie covers on my computer and i'm not happy with them. They were just copies of the original covers. My issue is I have the big brief case trunk set that the first 5 movies came in and I'm looking to migrate out of that into individual cases.

Bonus points for using the iconic poster art; it's a crime they didn't use it for the official cover.

The Dark Knight
Alright, this is, by far, the most original and unique custom BD cover I've ever seen. Bravo! I'm definitely going to print this out and give it a try.

Although I prefer the Joker version of this cover, this one is still really good.

Both are really quite lovely. You did a wonderful job formatting them, too. Despite the very unusual bat shape you had to work with, nothing looks cluttered and everything is very well placed and organized.

Unfortunately, I can't download either cover from your site. How come?

As always, impeccable job, dv8pdx. Very clean and professional.

Damn, you never disappoint. The most adequate word I can think of to describe this cover is "beautiful." It really captures the magnificence and wonder of the film's visuals.

Will you be putting this up for download? I'd say it's practically a guarantee that the official cover won't look nearly this good.

I believe both dv8 and BPM are moving to the PM for access to the HD form of the custom cover each has respectively created.

So a PM with a please and thank you and a well directed and informative subject line will more than likely get you what you seek.

@ artists of old:

Over winter break I plan on trying to update the list at the beginning of this thread. I am no longer keeping a list of mock covers. Most of the stuff within this current thread represents actual replacement cover art, but the old thread was a mixed bunch.

I was thinking that I would go through that thread and only post something to this official list if a back and a front were displayed in that thread. This means a back of the blu cover was considered and it may have been a finished product or may be something for those looking to inquire about.

Does that seem like a decent idea? I should be able to burn through a decent amount of pages of posts in the archived thread with that restriction in mind. Everything posted in this current thread seems to pass that restriction.

Well I am currently working on a template for the Mel Brooks pack and here is what I have got so far:

Any comments and suggestions are welcome (after all I don't have the set so I am not making it for my self ). Keep in mind it is still early so much can/will change.

Unfortunately I am in the middle of college exams so I wont be able to finish until the weekend.

So it seems like no one took my challenge to make a holiday themed custom cover for a holiday movie or a non-holiday movie (which seems a tad more fun). There are plenty of movies that aren't holiday movies that take place around the holidays to choose from and plenty that are holiday movies as well.

Anyways, on to another question for those that actually read this thread and just don't scroll through looking for pretty pictures.

What do you guys think of UPCs? I know they preserve the authenticity of the custom cover, but some of the great art I have seen is simply just marred by the white UPC box.

Awesome. I was thinking of doing something like that but I like what you have so far. Front, I would have the movie titles on the bottom and The Mel Brooks Collection on top or move the movie photo more up to give the Mel Brooks Collection more breathing room.
Spine, I'd get rid of the MBC logo and type it out in the white space.
Back, can't really judge since it's not finished but I do like the simplicity.
