Custom Cover Art Thread

i found a green blu-ray case from the incredible hulk in a trade forum on here over the weekend. can't wait for it to show up and see what the custom matrix covers look like in it that dv8pdx made.

as soon as it shows up and i get a nice copy printed off, i'll post some pix.

This thread looks great, I have just one question... when we look at the covers from the 1st page, like I looked at Kill Bill in "official custom/mock" or somethin like that... I seen the image but how do I download it?

The mock ones are simply that, just mock covers so there are no download links, the custom replacement section is full covers with download links, (remember this is not the full list, trean is still moving them over)

Updated the listings for the current thread through page 4.

Many have left a place to edit a post later to post an external link. Please, do not just edit the post. I do not plan on going through the entire thread repeatedly to just see if someone has edited a post with new information. If you wish to just do a simple update and not repost a post in its entirety then edit the old post and post a new post with any new changes (like the links if that is what is updated). If you update the actual cover I would rather have you just draw up a brand new post, cover external link, smaller cover image in post, etc. etc. This allows me to not have to continually go back to ensure the latest information has been entered in the list.

The mock covers list is being compiled from the original thread when the intention of the thread was not to build full fledged replacement covers but to build mock blu-ray cases that usually had just the front of the cover on display.

I haven't gone through the whole archived thread so I haven't pulled anything past page 30 of that thread. If the user is still around you can be more specific as to which cover you are talking about and either s/he can tell you if a final cover was made or another user can try to make one that is similar to your tastes.

Alright, I think I'm pretty much done with that Defiance cover. I ended up putting the Liev Schreiber pic back on the front. If anyone wants this I can e-mail you and I'll probably upload it to euphoricfx before too long.

just some constructive criticism if u took out the tank and the liev schreiber picture on the front that cover would be real nice the back is excellent i just feel theres too much cluttering the front and it sort of looks out of place....again just my opinion

Agreed. The tank and Liev look very out of place. By taking them out it would make a top notch custom cover.

You know my wife told me that too. I really need to start listening to her more. What about moving it back to the back of the cover? I'm kinda partial to that shot, lol. Like this:

You didn't exactly ask for my advice, so it's just constructive because I like the cover a lot!, but I'm not sure if moving the tank to the back would really help, as it gets covered up by the credits. The reason it seems a little outta place is because the tank itself is a different contrast, or rather its brighter than the rest of the front. You need to blend it in with the image of Daniel Craig in the background. Maybe change the brightness of the tank layer itself, making it a little darker, or fade it in to the layer with Craig in the back. Or you know! I just looked at it again, and you could select the tank and change the opacity to give it the merged/blended look. And pull that Paramount High Def. logo to the front.

now the back looks to cluttered in my opinion, you have 2 pics of Liev on th back, and i dont see the point of that, and the tank still looks missed place, front the way it is now and back the way it was before and it will look great imo, nice clean and simple
