Very interesting.

This is something that Toshiba can't do atm.

I wonder if they can ever do it. Do people prefer R or RW for these types of devices?

There isn't a single HD DVD-RW burner announced or even planned as far as I know.

The SD-L902A laptop burner (available?), and the SD-H903A PC burner which was announced in January and still isn't out, are 1x HD DVD-R burners only.

And you can find 2x 25GB BD-R for less than 1x 15GB HD DVD-R

That war is already over. It doesn't even look like Toshiba is trying.

Not suprising, Hitachi brought us the first DVD camcorder as well. Not to mention the first HDD/DVD hybrid camcorder. They are all nice, but I would never buy a camcorder, I have no use for one.

Am I the only one that sees that as DAMN COOL?

You are not the only one. I'm hoping that Apple will Update iLife 08 with a patch to support this camera as they updated to support AVCHD but that format suffers from compression and resolution issues. It is 1440X1080i while this is full HD at 1920x1080.

They are supposed to Arrive in Canada in October I'd assume that date is for the US as well.
