Seriously.

Is that was he asked about? Have you ever played it? Do you know anything about beyond that crap in the internet? Since the answer to all of these is no why don't you keep your fanboy opinion to yourself. There's nothing wrong with making a suggestion but stating your opinion as fact is crap.

Does the Move look promising, yes. Will it be for everyone, no. Also, it still isn't perfect and we have yet to see what the Wii HD will look like. If you think it will just be a current Wii with HD, I doubt it. It's probably going to be the Wii 2. Let's not forget that comparing a next gen console to a current gen console is moronic.
I like both Sony and Nintendo! and I hate fanboys well I'm against microsoft, does that make me a fanboy?

Nope.

The base of what makes someone a fanboy is someone that blindly follows a brand.

Nothing wrong with that. There are plenty of companies that have decent products I won't buy out of principal.

With the Wii, sometimes I'd rather play a fun game on the Wii, than play something on the PS3 because some of the games are funner on the Wii than the PS3, on the other hand, I play both systems quite frequently.

To the OP, if the kids want a Wii, and you're willing to get it for them, who cares what it looks like, so long as the munchkins are having fun right?

I agree as well. The whole key to me is the Nintendo exclusives that you won't find on the other systems (Zelda, Mario, etc.) Gamecube and downloads from older Nintendo systems are icing on the cake.

The fact that it's not HD should not be the reason for not getting a system. While graphics can be important, it's only a small part of the overall gaming experience.

I game mostly on my 360, that's for sure, but I do enjoy playing the Wii from time to time. I enjoyed Metroid Other M quite a bit. I play some of my all time favorites on the Virtual Console, and they've never looked better.

Many of the games use more of a waggle, than true motion, so you don't really need to stand there as long as you are in range of the sensor.

My Wii is hooked up to my receiver at 480p and then upscaled. It looks very good to me.

Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort will keep you entertained for a while. But, I'd recommend:

New Super Mario Bros- awesome co-op game play with old school Mario feel which you could all play at the same time
Super Smash Bros. Brawl- multiplayer mayhem with Nintendo characters, also something you could all 3 play
Mario Kart Wii- more multiplayer racing fun

As for single player:
Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2- continuing the tradition of great Mario games
The Legend of Zelda- Twilight Princess- gets off to a fairly slow start, but an incredible game
Punch Out- very fun, plays a lot like the original NES game, IMHO

Upcoming-
Donkey Kong Country Returns looks cool.

As with most Nintendo systems the last few generations, the first party Nintendo developed stuff is the cream of the crop. Also, there's lots of awesome stuff on the virtual console if you're into older games.

Well, they have seen the Wii at friends or family and have really had no interest... they would like the new Mario 4-player game and just saw a newer game on Saturday.

The newer game is Music or something like that with 30 songs and you have to copy the character dance moves... there were 20 kids and 10 adults playing it for an hour.

So, I am sure my wife and I would like to play that with the kids and all 4 of us could play Mario.

I personally hate the Wii... I do not like that is not HD... HD has ruined me... but I don't not like being forced for use a Wii-mote instead of just sitting and playing with a controller.

I will claim stupidity, but are most games only Wii movement? Meaning do you always have to wave your hands around?

NOW... My real question? Stores do not help me...

How will the Wii look on my Sony 240hz 180p TV? Semi-decent or is it crap?

Should I wait until June to see if Nintendo announces an HD version?

So confused... Like I said it might be family fun... but summer is almost here... I wonder if it would be used for a while... and dust collector after that?
If you prefer HD and If they are really interested in a Music game were you have to copy the character dances moves. Since you already have the Xbox 360 buy Kinect and Dance Central or DanceMasters. Kinect also comes with Kinect Adventures and right now Amazon has Buy One Kinect game get a 2nd one half off.

it will be better than wii

besides just being able to sense motion, it can determine its position in 3D space, meaning in a swordfight, your characters sword attack will replicate how you move the remote in real life, instead of the wii, where you just shake it back and forth

explain to your kids that if they wait, they will get something better

plus if you already have a PS3, this will cost maybe $70, instead of buying a Wii!
Just wait for PS4.
