Here is the Forgotten Films email address. You may want to mention Charles Gray referred you so they know how you got their email address.

Thanks guys. I was wondering about the print from Forgotten Films, which aspect ratio is it in? What are they charging for the film?

If you order directly from Forgotten Films, via PayPal, it's $20 ($17, plus $3 for shipping).

Use the info that Charles provided and Jared will reply with ordering instructions.

Thanks, I just sent them an email. What is the Aspect Ratio on this release and how does the print quality compare to the Elite DVD?

Does this Blu have any extras and if not, I'll add the Elite DVD in the case with the FF BD.

Is Forgotten Films version confirmed region A only? I have the Optimum UK one. Haven't had the time to watch it yet but from what I've understood it should have the best pq and extras, though cropped?

Got and watched my copy (Forgotten Films). The quality was beautiful, just didn't like the black bars on the sides but that's alright. Definatley worth the pick up if you are a Romero/Zombie fan and need to have the entire Romero collection.

The Forgotten Films of Night of the Living Dead is Region A. Correct me if I am wrong. If FF releases another printing of Night of the Living Dead on Blu-Ray, they should make it region free so that everyone in the world can enjoy it this release.

I seems that everyone who has order the Forgotten Films release of Night of the Living Dead is happy with the Blu-Ray and the price, which is great to hear.

Again, Here is the Forgotten Films email address. You may want to mention Charles Gray referred you.

I recently bought a few more as gifts and as usual the recipients were very happy with them!

Why just single THIS release out? he probably does not see the $ from most if not all Blu-ray releases, hell probably most DVD releases as well, so don't just single this version out.

Guys, Romero has had a long career as a director in Hollywood, mostly because his early Zombie films are beloved. He has not seen any money from NOTLD in decades and never will, so using that as a purchasing criteria here is worthless.

That's not entirely accurate. While NoTLD is public domain, the feature length 40th anniversary doc., "One For The Fire" is an Artfire/Romero-Grunwald production, so any release that contains this (Dimension's DVD, Optimum, and Happinet's BD) will put money in Romero's coffers (how much is anyone's guess).

Not true.

Starting with the Elite laserdisc (and later DVD), he's been involved in (and received royalties from) 'official' releases. He also got cash from the Weinstein DVD.

I'll leave it to each individual to determine if that's a valid criteria for buying, but we do have a history on both LD and DVD of the absolute best versions being authorized by Romero himself. I'd hardly call that criteria "worthless".

NotLD is being shown on The Movie Channel and TMC Xtra in May in 1080i HD. Though not a 1080p Blu-Ray, I wonder how the aspect ratio/framing will be and if there are any missing seconds/frames; and if it's more complete I wonder where they acquired the print from? Showtime and TMC do have a deal to show films from the Weinsteins, so it could be from their print.

There was one DVD release that Romero made money on.

http://www.amazon.com/Night-Living-D...3972892&sr=8-4

With the countless DVDs of this film out there (I own three), I have no problem waiting for a substantial BD release before upgrading.

I'm also waiting for the Weinsteins to release it. Hopefully, they'll secure a deal with Anchor Bay to get it done right.
