All depends on the person. I would say go through the forum here and check out the screenshots of the different ROM's. Cyanogenmod is one of the more popular ROM's out there.

I use NSCollab myself.

I was on CM7 since before they went RC1

I'm back on a Sense rom now

I'm unable to use a Sense ROM at the moment since I don't have an HTC phone, but there is a Sense like ROM being developed for the Nexus S. Its still in its super early stages though.

Mike, are you running the New Sense?

I'm a CM guy myself, I prefer AOSP over sense or any other skin.

Yes, Sense 3.0 is nifty and I like it. It lags a bit compared to CM7 or AOSP Gingerbread but I can deal with that.

The main thing that bugs me is I can't flick the apps drawer and scroll quickly through them.

I haven't played with CM in a while. I'm gonna download it in a few and flash it. I see their on 7.0.3. I think the last time I had CM was right before they went official with 7.0.

I did CM and had issues. I went back to Fresh and have had very few problems. This is for my Evo 4G.

It is, and I've read through it (and lots of other threads at XDA), but I need a definitive recommendation on which ROM to run. Let me know what your buddy thinks.

I'm sorry, but I'm still pretty pissed. Netflix app isn't for my phone (Samsung Vibrant), not even a year yet. It's pissing me off right not...a lot. I'm seriously wanting to jump ships. Especially since the Nexus S has it......and that's pretty much a Galaxy S phone.

What kind of functionality are you looking for? Do you want to try honeycomb(the tablet version) or are you fine with the version that is installed? If you guys are fine with the version currently installed I'd suggest Cyanogen as it's pretty fast. Just make sure you use a different Launcher as I HATE ADW.

Goto Market and download Home Switcher for Froyo
Download the Gingerbread Launcher
Use Home Switcher to set the default to Gingerbread Launcher.

Do that after you flash Cyanogen. If you are mostly using the device at home I'd recommend getting an OC kernel too.

I'll try it when I get home. But I've tried like a few variations of the app with no avail. One actually let me log in and select a movie, but.....the movie didn't stream.
