Xenoblade Chronicles, despite a limited release, was the 2nd highest selling video game (following Kinect Star Wars) in North America in it's first week at nearly 142,000 copies! In fact after just one week it's nearly surpassed the total number of copies it's sold in Japan, and it's been out in that country since 2010. Hopefully this encourages more JRPG's to get ported to America. This also bolds well for The Last Story, which was finally announced for U.S. release in a few months.

New rumors seem to indicate that another great RPG Pandora's Tower will also be coming to the U.S. for release this summer. Pandora's Tower is the last of the three games Operation Rainfall has been campaigning for a U.S. release.

Finally starting this. I went the Dolphin route after attempting to buy it for the past 1+ month on amazon or Ebay... but $150+ is just too much for me to buy it.

I'm baffled as to why the North American release of Xenoblade Chronicles was so limited. Despite only Nintendo direct online and Gamestop selling it the game sold around 400k, more than double what it sold in Japan despite a wide release there. They really dropped the ball with marketing this great game. There's no excuse for needing to pay $150 to buy a copy. I'm glad I got my copy from Nintendo online when it released for $50.

I agree and I am speechless on how good this game is. If Nintendo would have marketed this game, and actually made enough copies for the demand, then they would have easily sold a lot more copies.

I am only 5 hours or so in... But I can not tell you how excited I am already for the sequel on the Wii U.

Nintendo better not drop the ball with sequel, or whatever the game is, when it's released.

I was about to win a bid for $60 on ebay but someone raised a dollar in the last 2 seconds.. so unfair

anyway, hours later, I found a mint, like new copy but paid way for it.. oh well, I heard nothing but great things about the game, so hopefully it's worth it

Truly one of the best games on the Wii. Looks great and plays wonderful. This game so reminded me of Final Fantasy...you know, back when it was good.
