If any of you proud owners are hockey fans I'd love to hear your thoughts on motion handling.

I was leaning toward a 65" Sony 900E for my next set but the 65R615 is super tempting. In fact, it's very much the front-runner now. But I'm still a little nervous about motion processing.

It looks like some folks are having issues with a grid like effect appearing on some units, which looks like LEDs not behaving as intended. There's a few videos out there of it in motion and some posts on the usual forums too. It appears sellers and TCL are stepping up with replacements but it may be a little bit of a lottery on whether you receive one that does or does not exhibit the issue.

Found an issue with mine. Along the bottom of the screen just off center to the left is a dark spot in the screen. Ill have to try and get a picture of it. Wonder if I should deal with BB were i bought it from or contact TCL directly.

is it something that you see when you have a full color screen like white, light grey or something like that or, do you see it when actually watching content either streamed online or during hdmi input content?

I won't lie, sometimes when I'm at a menu screen or loading an app and the screen sometimes goes like a light grey, I can see inconsistencies in the color, but, it never shows up or interferes with my watching actual content.

I've had both of mine for months and the picture/content on both looks absolutely stunning.

im finding that for some of the movies ,using "movie" mode of the 605 is a little dark,, namely black panther, the misses complained so much i had to look at it.
Can anyone recommend any custom settings i could try before i start adjusting it?

Right now Best Buy dropped the price on the 65R615 to 969.99. After price matching and my 10% off TV came to 933.62 after taxes. It's coming in Friday. Can't wait.

I bought the TCL 65C807 from Costco on 07/19/2018 and can't be any happier. I love their app where I can go into the TV and make so many adjustments to the picture. Got mine for $549 since they missed my delivery time ($100 refund). Does any body else have this TV?

Anyone here own a 65" TCL 6 series TV? I've read a lot about banding issues, yet the TV is generally high regarded and gets great reviews.

I've seen a few people say that the banding issue is overstated, that it's not noticeable viewing most programming unless you are looking for it.

Trying to figure out if the TV has been satisfactory to anyone who may have bought one.

Thanks! Freddy

Hey FreddyC, check my sig, I'm nothing but happy with all of them.

also, when you use the term "anyone" that kinda suggest that no one has been happy with them and that's not the case. I don't watch test patterns and such on the tv, I watch movies and tv on the tv. plenty of people flying off the handle about what a grey screen looks like. I'm interested in what I've input to the tv looks like.

don't get me wrong, I'm sure people have gotten bad screens or bad TV's from TCL. but so have lots of other brands.

best of luck to you, keep us posted whatever you decide to do.

Thanks for the response. I figured there were some folks here that owned the TCL and I'm not the type to obsess over the "white/gray" screen stuff. I judge by what I can see in front of me.

Again, I appreciate the feedback. Increases my confidence in the decision I WANT to make. Freddy

every time I look at that 65" 6 series with something in 4K/DV, I just can't believe a tv with a picture as beautiful as this cost me less than $1K

I went ahead and pulled the trigger. Expecting it between the 16th-23rd from Amazon and with having a year to pay for it without interest, it felt like the right move.

Again, I appreciate your comments Solarddadd. Just hearing from someone that owns one increased my confidence. Anything can happen, but I just saw too many fantastic reviews to ignore this TV. If it was THAT bad, I just can't imagine it would be highly rated.

I got my kids the 55” 5 series for their game room (they only use it for PS4/Switch) back in May and it’s going strong with no issues. For an edge lit, non-FALD TV, for $450, the picture is great. I’m in the market for a new TV for me, and that good experience has me considering the 65” 6 series - which by the way is on sale for $899.99 this week at Best Buy.

I also have the 65" TCL 6 Series since September and have no issues. Amazing picture quality. No evidence of banding. Buy an extended warranty if you're concerned; I did.
