Ralph seemed to give Google but not Amazon as an option. I redeemed it on ITunes so I can’t say for sure if there is a glitch with Google or anything, but it imported in from MA just fine (I did just check to see if it had gone into those services).

If you redeemed that 4k code of wreck it ralph 2 on itunes did you get downgraded rights to HD as itunes doesn't have 4k versions of disney feature on there?

You won’t get 4k rights for Disney if you redeem a 4k code on iTunes, only HD.

I'm pretty sure you have to redeem in MA to keep 4k rights. You'll still only watch in HD on iTunes

You can redeem on VUDU as well.

As has been discussed elsewhere, there are advantages to redeeming on VUDU vs. MA, and vice versa.

You should have redeemed it at MA so that you at least own it in 4K format. Redeeming through iTunes is such a waste for 4K codes since it will only port the movie to MA in HD. IF iTunes and Disney ever come to terms regarding 4K UHD, and if iTunes were ever to get an upgrade, that 4K redeemed through MA would upgrade your iTunes HD to 4K.

Oh yes, to xbs, if he knew that going that route would only give him HD. we'll see if he is stuck with HD when he replies.

Yeah, for some reason I had thought Disney and Apple had worked things out (it may have been when Disney upgrades old codes from the first UHD which were giving HD copies and I may have confused that with also working things out with Apple, frankly keeping track of best ways to redeem titles from different studios is annoying). Now I did just get Willow and Christoper Robin fairly recently and redeemed on ITunes for HD, but since those were Blu Ray and Digital HD only releases, didn’t think anything of it.

So in the future, can remember to redeem Disney titles on VUDU (or MA, but I usually prefer to tie it into a service as a back up given MA’s transaction history issues) it seems like. I’ll email Disney in the next couple days and see what they can do, they were very helpful when Guardians Vol 2 got the upgrade and gave me a UHD code for that which I redeemed on MA.

If I have already bought “How To Train Your Dragon 1&2” but both of them are not in 4K HDR in my library how can I rebuy the 2 movies in HDR or get them upgraded?

They don’t show 2 versions in iTunes. Do you have to redeem a 4K code in MA for it to upgrade to HDR in iTunes?

Also does the Blu-ray digital copy of “Hell Fest” redeem in iTunes & also will it redeem 4k in iTunes?

Do older Universal codes still redeem as UV and iTunes or is it MA only? Meaning did they change all older codes into MA?

Even if they offer dual redeems, the UV portion won't be UV anymore, they'll simply be a VUDU redemption.

I'm fine with that as long as I can redeem through iTunes AND Vudu.

What I do to upgrade movies to 4K in iTunes is that I buy them as gift to myself; iTunes sends me a code to redeem. When I redeem the code, I get the 4K upgrade. Hope that helps.

Worth noting that gifting only gives you UHD in iTunes, and 4K this way does NOT port into Movies Anywhere and connected vendors.

Just a heads up that the digital code that comes with the individual release for Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark still redeems via itunes.

It says that it expired about four years ago. So don't bother going to the paramount site that the insert tells you to go to.

I'm pretty stoked that it actually worked. Going to pick up the other two releases that have digital codes now!

According to this website there is no newer blu ray release for a new code to come from. Last one was released in 2015. It's probably still SD.
