Help after iPhone update please? - Blu-ray Forum

I just updated my iPhone (always feels like a mistake) and now whenever I type in a forum like this, posting something like this, the screen doesn't move as I type. I literally get the edge of where I can see my words and then I have to move the screen manually with my finger to move ahead and see what it is I've typed. Then I have to move the screen with my finger all the way to the left when I'm starting on a new line. I have no idea what's happening or even what to Google to look for help.

Can someone please help me??

When I'm typing in my mail app (the one standard with the iPhone) I don't have this problem. The screen moves forward (to the right) just as you would expect.

My safari is buggy so I've tried using Chrome (preferred browser on iPhone) and Firefox. This is so annoying. Grrr.

Wow, it seems to be just this forum! And this is where I post the most by far. I tried the two other forums (dvdtalk & hdn) and whenever I go to post, it automatically gives me a perfect sized box to type in. Where I can see the left and right side as I type. And without having to zoom out to the point where the letters are ridiculously tiny like I have to do here.

Why this forum? I could live with this for an occasional post. Anyone know what's going on and what I can do about it?

I've had this issue ever since I got my iPhone 7 on Black Friday. It is only this forum, weirdly enough. All other websites and apps are fine.

As annoying as it is, I've gotten used to it.

That really sucks and it makes no sense. It's why I had put of the updating for such a long time and now I totally regret it.

I always wait at least a month before I update my iPhone, and our iPads. Sorry to hear about your problems. Get ready for another update coming January 10th.

I'm sure I waited well over a month. This seems to be how it's meant to work if it was happening to the 7's brand new. Mine is a 6.

My phone is also a 6. I've never had a problem with an update until the last one. My email app crashes every time I use it. There is another update for my phone right now, but I refuse to update it. I probably should update, maybe it'll take care of my email app crashing.

Which e-mail app? I'm sure you've tried erasing it and re-downloading that particular app, right? That seems to fix any crashing issues I encounter.

It's the one that comes with IOS. I usually read my overnight mail on my phone first thing in the morning. I didn't even know I could boot the app out, and then re download it. I'm going to do the update and see if that takes care of my problem. If that doesn't work, I'll download the app again. Thanks for the info, Mertz.

If it's the built-in e-mail app, I'm not sure that can be deleted and re-downloaded.

I only use the Gmail app, and when that was crashing continuously, the erase/re-download stopped the issue.

What ever you do, Stick with iOS 12.4.1. Wait till Apple gets iOS 13 figured out.
