Wicky is correct but, in lieu of that.

I would say Yoko Hama Sushi, which is right next to the Overland/Washington studio gate. I think the address is 3857 Overland.

Better – About 10- 15 min. away is Matsuhisa on La Cienega/Wilshire. They close for lunch at 2:00 P.M. They are excellent.

IMO, the best Sushi restaurant relatively close by Sony Pictures is again 10-15 min. away on 3rd and Santa Monica. The name is Sushi Roku. I think the address is 8445 West 3rd but, you had better check the numbers. It’s next to the Bev center. If you can call ahead ask to be seated in front of the head chef (Giro) and you will be rewarded with taste bud nirvana.

They did not like the format war to begin with and they do not like the after-effects because it confuses consumers…….and takes up shelf space.

Currently, I would say that BestBuy is on the fastest track toward eventual total Blu enlightenment to its customers.
Bestbuy will destory Toshiba by doing this, other retailers will follow We could see A Remix of The DownFall Of HD-DVD on youtube, but with bestbuy in the subtitles.

Penton,

Now that Warner will be BD exclusive, what will happen to HD DVD titles already out? Will they stop pressing them like Paramount did with its BD library?

And do you know if Warner will start using region coding on their discs after May?

Thank you for time here!

Paramount refused to restock sold out titles evne though they had copies in the warehouse

Warner will fill orders, but will not repress existing titles after March so once they're gone that's it

Hey Penton, when you were racing did you get any of your Pentons back here in Indiana? Just curious, my old boss has a shop near Muncie where he builds/rebuilds Pentons. He has had quite a few 'celebraties' over the years.

Hey Penton,

Do you happen to know of any press releases on the "performance" clause you hinted about with Warner? You had stated that they were a non issue. Some idiot (midnightwatcher) on AVS keeps spouting that warner could go back neutral if HD DVD closes the gap in the next 3 months. Maybe you could post something over their in the insiders thread.

Also, are all new releases from Warner going to be dual format until June 1st? Or are their some Blu exclusives thrown in for fun?

Now I'm thinking Penton may be Lee Majors.......

Thanks Max, though I like the new insiders threads, it is confusing where to post certain questions.

Their are about 5 die hard red boys over at AVS that haven't come to grips with reality. I am tired of their FUD spreading.

Hey Penton, since when is 3rd and Santa Monica anywhere near the Bev Center? Am I mistaken? I used to work for an editing house on 5th and wilshire. Sometimes our clients would want sushi from sushi roku. It could get 'spensive. But I'm pretty sure the bev center is the other direction completely.

P.S. I find your posts both insightful and useful.

Lol, I guess in this case it wasn’t ……….."insightful and useful".
Sorry, for the confusion. I think you’re thinking of the Sushi Roku in the City of Santa Monica. I’m referring to the Sushi Roku in Hollywood. I guess I shouldn’t have said 3rd and Santa Monica but rather 3rd and La Cienega………. maybe that threw you.
Use the valet parking.

No, I received all my Pentons from a shop on the east coast.
If you’re referring to Kip Kern, he is well respected in the field.
