Default Would you like to see Movies Anywhere integration with Disney+?

I don't know if the other studios would go for this, but seeing as Disney+ and Movies Anywhere probably use the same technology backbone (BAMTech), I think it would be neat if Disney+ would have a Movies Anywhere tab. If anything, I could see your Disney/Fox movies showing up.

I'm not sure I see the point personally.

I would like to see Disney Movie Rewards, Sony Rewards, and Universal Rewards link up with Movies Anywhere, like how DMR did with DMA in the old days.

I'd also like the ability to link up DMA accounts like Google Play and iTunes Family Sharing.

I could see that being useful since not all movies will be available on Disney+ for a while. So it would be nice to have those movies there and not have to go elsewhere to watch them.

Disney + should at least have a Movies anywhere clickable top banner directing the subscribers to Movies anywhere and sure why not allow the linking up with Disney + NOT everything will be able to view day 1 and with original content keeping the people coming back adding my purchased Disney movies that the service might just have a coming soon over box art linking to Movies anywhere should unlock the Movies with your library purchase!

Since Disney+ will already have the Disney library there wouldn't be much point. And Disney+ is kid friendly so it would never have the the other Disney studios, except for family friendly titles. I would prefer having Disney+ link to Amazon or more likely Hulu (though I don't currently plan on subscribing to Hulu unless they offer me a great combo deal), that way you don't need 800 apps to watch movies.

Would not complain if Disney+ gave you DMR points every month you are subscribed though, or a free digital title for you MA library.

Thumbs up

I've thought about this. Just add a tab that would show your MA collection. Go ahead and add one to Hulu as well. No real reason not to. Hell, any studio that's part of MA should have the option on their own streaming platforms. (I realize no one streaming service may display your entire collection, for a variety of reasons.)

Is it really that hard to switch from the Disney + app to the MA app? I see no reason to spend money developing this feature.

I'd rather they spend the time focusing on adding more studios to MA, and also adding sorting options to the MA app.

Makes no difference to me personally, but Disney+ would probably spend the same amount of money developing a less useful feature. LOL

I'm pretty sure the MA developers are probably different developers than the D+ ones, and I'm pretty sure the folks involved in studio support aren't developers, so probably no overlap.

I don't see why not, as long as it doesn't affect the "neutrality" of MA. Apple is doing something similar in the TV app (your iTunes library including movies transferred from MA shows up as a tab, next to Apple TV+ and other subscription channels).

I don't see a lot of benefit unless we could use the MA app to view our library and the Disney+ library which wont help until MA handles TV shows for me.

I would more love to see some reward like what we used to get by linking new accounts to MA, where as every month, quarter, or year of continuous membership in Disney+ would give you a free movie in your MA.

I love Disney movies but have no use for Disney+

I do have a use for MoviesAnywhere as I have 749 movies in there for now.

I collect Disney/Pixar/Star Wars/Marvel movies and have more than enough of what I would get from National Geographic so I haven't had any use for Disney+

(a visiting friend let me use his account to watch a few episodes of the baby Yoda show but I lost interest... kind of a boring show really.)

As hard as it is there are many people who don't know what Movies Anywhere is at least there should be a banner that let's you know what Movies Anywhere is the more people know what it is the more powerful the demand for more content and tv shows remember if you're able to go from Disney+ to movies Anywhere to set it up that's making progress.

They have the behind Disney and could do an episode on movies Anywhere to let people know what it is!
