Default Samsung Q80T (2020)

Anyone have this tv? I still haven't given up on a new tv and now I'm looking at this one.

If I decide to buy, should I wait for Black Friday for a hoped for major price drop?

If this is the TV that you're really interested in it will be cheaper to buy it next year, when the new 2021 4K TVs models are in stock, but if you want a new TV right now, there are some really nice 4K TVs that are much cheaper than $1,200.00.

I have the Q90R, I bought it last year on black friday for huge savings. I'd recommend the 90 series over the 80, it is much brighter. The Q90 still blows me away, i'm about to watch MIB International in 4k and I bet i'll say wow look at that at least 10 times I don't think you'll be disappointed with the 80 though either but I do remember during my research that it wasn't that much better then the 70 so you may save some cash and go with a 70 series. One review channel on YouTube actually said they liked the 70 better. I went with the 90 to get the stand alone box/1 cable connection and the nicer image.

I'm not sure what you have now, I was coming from an 8 year old LG Plasma and it's such a massive difference. I don't even like going to the theater anymore, I just complain about the picture quality the entire time haha.

I have a 55 inch 2013 Samsung LED tv, which I think still looks really good. i would want to go for the 80 or 90 as I prefer the stand in the middle.

I ended up getting this today. As I'm used to already having a Samsung, the transition was easy.

But, man, that tiny ass remote is ridiculous. I have seen reviews where other countries come with both that one and an old school remote. Luckily the remote from my 2013 Samsung works with this new tv.
