The Sony G-d's are very good to us. Just received Sony's 1st allocation of 2021 65" X90J 4K HDR TVs.

The 2020 Sony X900H 65 inch went on sale more than a few times for $1,000. Unfortunately it seemed Sony just didn't push out a lot of 55 inch versions to Best Buy, or I just didn't like the prices (it did hit $900)

The 2021 Sony X90J 50 inch or 55 inch is my long awaited upgrade from a trusty Vizio 1080p

It has:
the bedroom TV size
an ATSC 3.0 tuner (important to me)
non-OLED (I watch the news and fear screen burn-in)
requisite Dolby Vision, HDMI 2.1, and VRR (I'm hoping the VRR speeds up my Smash Bros Ultimate lag on the Nintendo Switch, I doubt it though)
A sub $900 price tag on a sale at some point, maybe even less for the 50 inch version if Sony ships out enough.

Picked this one up, should be here in two weeks. Can't wait to take a look at it!

Have there been any comparisons between this and last year's 950h?

I'm due for a TV upgrade and I'm torn between the x90j and the x950h.

Tough call, but I'd recommend the current X950H as it much brighter than the X90J and has more local dimming zones and Sony's X-wide viewing feature.

With that said, I do like Sony's new XR video processor for 2021 that the X90J has.

Best Buy already discounted the 50 inch X90J to $1,099

I'm getting excited. These are very exciting times. I know the smart thing to do is wait until October or November but I'm going to wait and see what the prices are in July'ish.

Good ^ catch!

Sony put the new 2021 X90J series 50", 55" and 65" on sale with a $200 discount so now the 50A90J is $1,099, 55A90J $1,299, 65A90J $1,599.

I love the X90J series this year and the promotional prices make these new Sony TVs an excellent price/performance choice.

I loaned one of our 65" X90J TVs to Brian of Whisper Status 74, here's three Youtube videos he produced on the X90J:

Anyone have any idea when the Sony X95J is going to release? I want to upgrade my TV this year and do not want OLED do to burn in and how frequent I keep my TV on. Have always owned Sony TVs but torn between the Sony X95J and the Samsung Q90A since it is using Mini LED.

How good is this TV? I am seriously thinking of pulling the trigger on this one this week.

I’d be upgrading from a 2018 TCL 6 series. I know the X90J will be better but how much better because I’ve greatly enjoyed this TCL.

Sony X95J pre-orders: July 5 for 75", 85"; August 16 for 65".
