Lightbulb General Trends on iPads and Android Tablets

Trying to keep up with both ecosystems ...
What's new in 2021 that was old in 2020 ... Is new better than old?

New iPad Pro 2021 and their RAM expansion and limitation

I'm starting this thread for all Tablets and iPads, from all brands and models, all categories and prices, ...because this forum section doesn't require multiple threads as the traffic is very slow and limited. Perhaps one day it'll change ...

Anyway this is just a start, to check it out...interest.
Will it be a display with LCD LED, AMOLED, Mini-LED, and few variations plus the screen material. Will it be with a Pen, a Keyboard, apps from Apple store or Google store or both?
What Zoom Camera suits most? What size of tablet...from say 8" to 13"?
The prices, the deals, the features, the bang for the buck, the people's own personal uses, the gaming performance, the quality videos, the sound quality, Apple vs Samsung and all that jazz from the Tablet's world. What are the best features for each best user and all.
How high is the sky (what you can afford for the entertainment and working performance).

It's only a start, to test the waters first. This new 2021 iPad Pro comes in two screen sizes: 11" and 12.9" /// Here are the specs for the 12.9" model ...

I know, it's not cheap. But we start here and we'll explore various price ranges to satisfy all budget types...from less than $100 all the way up to this one right here...almost $3,000 (iPad Pro 12.9"/Wi-Fi/5G/2TB model).

On with the show ... everything we want to know, even if we don't need to know.

Ok, I started with Apple's latest iPad Pro with the M1 chip above and with a MiniLED screen. ...The new limousine of iPads, and not cheap.
Now to the Android side of the tablets' world ...

By the way, I do have the old model...Galaxy Tab S7 (the small 11" non-AMOLED), 8 GB RAM (256 GB internal storage). I might upgrade, or not. I'll wait to see more, read the reviews, check the deals, all that jazz.

Are you an Apple city person or are you a country side Android person?
What's your primary entertaining function in a tablet? What turns you on the most? And what's your top budget?

▪︎Apple iPad Pro: https://www.apple.com/ca/ipad-pro/specs/

▪︎Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra: https://gadgets.ndtv.com/tablets/new...y-oled-2451868

Pick your poison (dose of anti-virus vaccine).

I started on the High Dynamic Range of the tablet's limousines world, but eventually I'll hit the sweet spots of tablets (best bang for the buck) and the variants (budgets). Plus of course the best deals (usually around Black Friday week and Boxing Day week).

Stay tuned, from less than $100 to all the way up to $3,000 plus, with accessories and all.
...Without bias, raw and uncensored.

Ok, that's a very good idea for some Apple iPad models in 2022 / Fresh news just now
https://m.gsmarena.com/report_apple_...-amp-49389.php

Then iPads will have Mini-LED, AM-OLED, and Retina LCD-LED models.
...Till Micro-LED. ...HiLED? ...Plasma?

Because the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is not released here yet, let's check this video comparison between the new M1 iPad Pro Mini-LED and the Galaxy Tab S7 Plus AMOLED. And @ the end the prices, which is roughly $500 difference if you add the Apple pen ($130). ...Say both for their 256 GB internal storage (both with 8 GB of RAM). That's a big difference in price if your budget is limited.

Anyway there are many YouTube reviewers with tablets comparisons of these two models here, but this guy is pretty dead on. ...From May 31 (today) ...

Another comparison reviewer (but with a "slight" Apple bias). ...From May 29 (couple days ago) ...

Last year's Galaxy Tab S7 / 11" model (I have the 256 GB ROM / 8 GB RAM slate) ...

This year's M1 iPad Pro 11" model ...

What I like about the new coming-up Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is how thin the bezels are.
And of course the AMOLED display and the size (14.6"). It's laptop territory.
What I like less is the price, same for the MI iPad Pro 12.9" model.

Eleven inches for a tablet is more manageable with one hand.
8" is great too (easy in the pocket), but also smaller for videos, and photos.
Size is a degree of functionality, practicality, personal use for each different tablet/iPad operator. Weight also counts.

Three grands for a tablet can get you a pretty good laptop or PC.
The M1 iPad Pro 12.9" with the iPen and Magic keyboard cover will cost you a pretty penny.

Apple M1 MINI LED screen, iPad Pro (12.9") ... HDR the real high Nits deal?
You betcha it is, surpassing SUPER AMO LED.

And another "versus take" between it (bite of Apple) and the top Android Samsung SUPER AMO LED tablet, the Galaxy TAB S7 PLUS (12.4").

P.S. Don't try this @ home unless you're a professional who knows what he's doing.
We need a video pro calibrator expert like Vincent_Teoh to put those two displays @ full max pace to get the best objective view in the business. ...An exercise not for the faint of heart and without zero bias, period.

What do you think, what's your "penchant", where do you put your money...Conor or Khabib, Mystic Mac/The Notorious or The Eagle?

I can't wait for the S8+ with the Snapdragon 888 ... versus the M1 iPad Pro.
CPU wise Apple walks all over Android.

* Did you know that Apple is restricted by 5 GB of RAM even even with the iPad Pro 16 GB model?
You should; it was mentioned in the first post, for alert readers and hard-core users.

Newest takes ...

From five days ago ... {A tek reviewer with a general penchant for Apple products}

From today ... {An enthusiastic funny tek reviewer with a slight penchant for Androids}

Until they get the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra in their hands we can't answer all the questions just yet for fair comparisons, but we sure have a general idea.

* High-end tablets (iPads) are sure getting expensive...near top laptops territory.
Be patient, budget tablets (iPads) for 2021 are coming up. ...Say in the $400-600 range, and then the $200-300 range. Below that just buy a used older phone, in the 6" screen size range.
They're more portable, with better cameras.

More stuff (info) on the new Apple M1 iPad Pro /// Pros & Cons, Sizes & Prices, Performance & All ...

• Size: An 8" tablet (iPad) is much easier to carry around.
• 10 to 11" is about right for most.
• Do we need 4K/8K HDR resolution on a tablet/phone?
• LCD or OLED or Mini LED screen, with a price tag.
• Are you a hard-core heavy gamer?
• Are you an artist (Pen)?
• Do you have unlimited funds (bank)?
• Do you need a tablet (iPad)?

Pen comparison between the two top gun tablets ...
And remember; with the Galaxy Tab S7+ the S Pen comes with it (free), with the M1 iPad Pro you have to buy the Apple Pencil separately ($129)

It's on sale too right now; very nice ... $780 (256GB ROM & 8GB RAM).
Snapdragon 865+ 5G / 120HZ refresh rate / active SPen included.
12.4" OLED screen, DeX mode, ...all that jazz.

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/samsung...?skuId=6423325

That's the Kong of Android tablets. It does much much more than what most people know. And it costs much less than the top Apple tablet. Apple needs a new plan ... like an affordable one with all the nuclear power (fusion) of the sun. ....More than a Bionic rocket scientist ...

With more and more people working from home are you upgrading your tablet (iPad) this year or next year? Or, do you keep what you have now for a few more years? Do you think the processor chip, the battery, the memory, the CPU performance, the graphics, the speed, ...etc. are still going to be optimal in say 3-4-5 years from now in this super fast world we live in?

* 5 years sounds like an eternity, and it is in this iPad's (Android tablet) world.

Ukraine The two top guns facing each other ... (No price talk) ... just kidding

Apple iPad Pro (2021) vs Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra

Pick your gun wisely and protect your interests. Either one you'll be able to shoot any intruder.
