The d-pad and buttons don't look too comfortable, but it's somewhat similar to the Wii U Pro controller design so I don't mind it.

No plans on buying it although I want to try it (that perhaps would push me to purchasing one).

Hi all. Brand new to steam.
I have a question.
Q: a game I want is on Steam. It says windows is, can I play it on Steam Deck. Will I need an active internet connection to play it or can it be downloaded to the system and played offline?
The game is the original The Witcher.

I imagine offline mode should work on the Linux build of Steam (you download the games as you would if you play it on Windows through Steam). As for compatibility, out of the box using SteamOS and ProtonDB, you can use the Proton DB site as a general reference for whether the game will run properly on Steam Deck. Witcher 1 has a gold rating for compatibility so it should work fine.

Thanks. Just hoping that it runs on the SteamDeck without any issues.
I'm thinking of using it as a PS replacement.
I don't play too many games and want some older ones.

It'd be great if Heavy Metal F.A.K.K.2 was on Steam, but it doesn't seem to be.
