I'm not so sure about a manufacturer's first try at mini-LEDs but I doubt that Sony would just push out product haphazardly.
It could be pretty awesome if they solved a lot of mini-LED blooming problems though (verge article). I'll wait and see. |

That doesn't mean it won't offer any improvements over its predecessor, however. One thing I noticed is that Sony advertise "Contrast Booster 10" on the X90K, while it was "Contrast Booster 5" on the X90J. 10 is the same "rating" they gave the X95J, so it would seem on the face of it that the X90K will get significantly brighter. |

I still might just buy the X90J if it goes on a deep clearance; I want to live the 4K life (with an ATSC 3.0 NextGen tuner) |

Verge said VRR is enabled from the start without waiting for a firmware update.
Although given my penchant for misreading things, I might have misread that too. ![]() |

Yeah, it's what's been reported.
I've said it before, but I'm very much looking forward to learning more about Sony's 2022 models. I'm glad they're supposed to be released earlier in the year, so the reviews aren't too far off. ![]() |

On the LCD side, the X85K and X80K series will both feature 50" models. These lack the XR processor of higher-end sets, and are direct LED without full-array local dimming. X90K is the most affordable 2022 LCD that gives you the XR processor and local dimming, but unfortunately starts at 55". Last edited by MechaGodzilla; 01-13-2022 at 06:05 AM. |

We gave WhisperStatus74 one of Sony's new 2022 65" X90K TV for his video that premiers at 6:30pm ET today. The video stay's up so if you can't watch starting at 6pm ET today just enjoy the content anytime.
Sony's X90K 4K HDR Full Array locally dimmed TV is a high performance new TV at very compelling prices in all 4 screen sizes. Last edited by Robert Zohn; 05-14-2022 at 09:45 PM. |

I believe all sizes of the X95K have a wide & narrow footprint option for the feet. Correct me if I’m wrong. Haven’t seen the 65”. In any case, the X90 line is a nice budget friendly option from Sony. |
