I’m curious to see how it hits different people as they finish the game.

I’ve got a buddy that is as big into the first two games as me who is in the beginning of Chapter 7 now so when he’s finished we’ll be sitting down for a lengthy discussion.

When Xenoblade throws a song with vocals at you you know things are about to get real.

That entire
[Show spoiler]prison
sequence was absolutely fantastic and then to cap it off with
[Show spoiler]Shania actually going through with killing herself
.

Man, this game refuses to get out of my head even almost a week after finishing it.

I think I’m going to go back and hunt down the remaining unique monsters around the world.

I got to chapter 7 earlier today. Gonna go back to some earlier areas and try and find some quests that I might've missed (for the second time) lol. I just don't want this experience to end.

I’m strongly considering doing a NG+ run, guess I’ll see how I feel after getting the remaining unique monsters. I pulled up a list of all quests yesterday and turns out I had all of them.

Without major spoilers (I won't get to this probably for quite a while), does this connect the series together in a big way or is it still the sprinkling we've been getting?

I'd like to know the connections between 2 and 3.

[Show spoiler]Aside from Vandham and Nia I've got no clue what I might've not picked up on.

Yes but it is also a story that very much stands on its own two feet.

If you’ve listened to
[Show spoiler]Nia’s
explanation at the beginning of Chapter 7:

[Show spoiler]Almost every area is a mash up of locations from 1 and 2 because of the world’s coming together; besides the obvious Urayan titan Aetia region is the Gormotti titan. Agnians are humans, Gormotti and Blades. There’s more coming your way.

Finished the main story at exactly 100 hours. I really loved this game. I'd have to say this is one of my favorite games of all time now. Only behind FF VII Remake.

[Show spoiler]I was kind of surprised that the group had to go their separate ways at the end of the game. I get it but at the same time I did not see it coming. I kind of liked it because it kept things from being a total shut and closed book/happy ending type of thing. I can easily see certain parts of the ending playing a role in future games or DLC.

Seeing time start again after the credits was cool too. Curious if this means there is 2 timelines or something?

I'm going right back in and doing anything and everything that I missed the first time around. I wanted to get the main story wrapped up before I'm back to work Thursday. This way I can go in for another round of carefree exploration.

My interpretation of the ending was
[Show spoiler]that the collision that was frozen finally happened and Origin rebooted the world as it was originally intended to do but when Noah hears the Off Seer melody its to let you know they will be back together if they are not already. When I first finished I thought it was out of nowhere but really the game had been preparing you for that happening the entire time. They were constantly asked about what if things don’t go your way, what about when you can’t choose, etc. but you forget all that in the moment of the ending that was masterfully executed.

Make sure you go back to
[Show spoiler]Keves Castle and Cloudkeep
to get some quests that are only unlocked after you finish the game.

I think its a strong possibility the DLC story will be about
[Show spoiler]the founding of the second City.

[Show spoiler]When I heard the melody I immediately thought it had to be Mio, but after she wasn't shown on screen I wasn't sure. I was like "wait is that the melody she played?", you'd think I'd be able to tell after hearing it hundreds of times lol.

A lot of leaving it to the imagination, I really liked that about the ending.

One thing that I wanted to know more about was M and N's son. I'm surprised that wasn't touched upon at all outside of the cutscenes.

One thing I didn’t notice myself was apparently
[Show spoiler]after the birds fly in front of the screen Noah disappears during that cutscene.

The lack of major exposition dump like the first two explaining EVERYTHING is why I expected the ending to be divisive. It works for me and over a week later I’m still thinking about it and the lore of the game.

It’s highly likely their son became the founder of Vandham, the statue looks just like Noah. They also apparently would have had a daughter as the Gormotti founder is listed as being his sister. They did mention that the inhabitants of the city were descended from N and M. But plot threads like that are what I was referencing that the last two chapters did feel a bit abbreviated.

[Show spoiler]I didn't notice the birds now that you mention it. I wasn't expecting any additional cutscenes after the credits and wasn't paying a ton of attention. I was actually on here typing up that post and then I looked up at the screen and realized there was more.

I was reading through the Xenoblade_Chronicles subreddit spoiler discussion and there is a lot of good points being made. Things that weren't very well explained, etc. If you wanna read through:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Xenoblade_C...ry_discussion/

Wow I didn't even think that the statue could be their son. When I first saw it I was thinking maybe it was Noah himself and we'd get some postgame explanation for it (obviously didn't happen). Or maybe it was a character with some similarities from Xenoblade 2 who I was unaware of. In the back of my head I kept wondering what I might've been missing storywise because I didn't fully play 2.

The lack of exposition works for me too. I'm used to watching/reading series that leave a lot to your imagination and don't dump a ton of info on you. It leaves a lot of room for theorizing and conversation.

Had you finished Xenoblade 2 you’d have known to expect
[Show spoiler]a post credits scene

I’ve read through several posts on the subreddit that cleared up a few things I glossed over or didn’t interpret correctly. Good stuff over there.

I like the theory that some of the statues are of
[Show spoiler] Noah and Mio’s children, Rex and Shulk. The description of the two who are the mentors of the founders and not the founders themselves look just like older Rex and what an older Shulk could look like. They are also described as being fierce warriors who fought with a red great sword (Monado replica) and two great swords (Pyra and Mythra’s swords). Then there is the mysterious 7th founder who is unidentified.

Special editions starting to be shipped out…two months after the game released

But also around the time it was originally meant to release interestingly enough.

Been wanting to dive into this franchise.

Can I start with 3 or should I play from the beginning?
