Anyone know the best settings for a pb1000 pro? I’m sure it all depends on room etc but I’m not great with technical things when it comes to sound really just looking for like standard settings that should do the best out the box.

As a general rule, set the volume to about 60%-65% of the max, then run your system's auto-calibration. There really isn't much more to it unless you want to figure out best placement (e.g., subwoofer crawl) and/or have an SPL meter and want to dig into your system's PEQ (if it can be self-managed).

Would you normally hook up the subwoofer to an amp to get more power to it? The bass seems decent but it's not like blowing me away. And I have 2x PB 1000 pros

You should be getting more than enough bass response with those 2 subs. They are strong performers, so they should be providing more than enough power. You may be suffering from some cancellation, which can be improved upon by moving the subs to a better location to improve things. Or you could re-run your PEQ (Audyssey) as perhaps changes have been made to your room without re-running it. You could also have a problem with the room itself….where the issue might be the size of your room or it has some type of "open" design. Like red5 stated, doing the sub crawl might improve your situation.

One last thing, you could check up on these stickys….they explain bass response and the factors to consider to maximize your sonic experience.
