I just received a call from them. The woman who called said she will check on my submission and call me back today or tomorrow,

Glad you heard from someone, Steve. Still no luck on my end. Do you know who contacted you? Was she from Vision Media Management or from Universal? Can you please give me a hint how you were able to get a phone call back? I have a phone number for Vision Media via a Google search. Thanks!

I called Universal Home Video on Monday. You have to leave a message--it says no live person will answer, and someone will call you back in 24 hours. She called today. VISION MEDIA came up on caller ID. I told her about my issue and that others have reported the same problem here. She said she could check mine, but that's all. She will call back today or tomorrow.

Persistence paid off. I just got an email saying my request for replacement has been received (first sent in September 5) and then got a follow-up call to let me know she followed-up.

Hi Steve! I called Vision Media and spoke with a Customer Service Rep. Made sure I was polite and friendly to her. She said the only info available to her was the USHEConsumerRelations@visionmediamgmt.com email address. She suggested I email them again to ask for an acknowledgement. Thanked her for giving me some idea what to do next and she told me she appreciated my good attitude. Then I went over to the Contact Us section of Universal Picture Home Entertainment (where I first reported the problem). Described the situation and asked who I should contact to see if I was added to the replacement list.

Not sure which of the above actions did the trick but I just received the acknowledgement email. So finally I'm at the next stage to receiving the corrected disc!

I so agree with you about persistence!

Sounds like some have had to do a lot of work to just start the process, and the idea that it takes persistence is ridiculous. Sounds like UPHE has not improved their CS much since I had to deal with them and Vision Media Management a few years ago. Gooooood luck.
