I bit the bullet last night. I found a pretty good deal on a used RC-64 and jumped on it. I should have it this weekend. Once I get that set up and get the ButtKickers I want I'll have to take some new pics and update my HT gallery.

Anyone own the Klipsch Reference speakers like the R-26F and the matching center R-25C and matching 10" sub?

My RC-64 came in today. I hooked it up and calibrated it. Based on my limited time with it so far it appears to be a nice upgrade over the RC-62.

There are two people that own them on this forum (not very active). I've heard them quite often - what's your question?

thinking about ditching my b&w lcr600s3 and going with a klipsch rc-64 ii i have 2 b and w dm 604 s3's and eventually moving to the klipsch rf7's but my question is will i be ok with the horn tech vs the tweeter tech in my towers now? ( im using a xpa-5 to power it... or i will be if and when i get it)

You may have to turn your Klipsch center down - much more efficient than the B&w's

Default Speaker upgrade or just stay with what I have?

I own the KLF-20's and they still sound great, but speaker tech has come a long way in 15 years and thinking I would get much better sound by upgrading.

What do you all think?

I really only watch movies, so hence Klipsch was a big choice is that regards with the horns giving it a large stage and dispersion.

But I recently listened to a set of Def. Tech BP8040s and really loved the movie sound coming out of these. So are these Def. Tech great for movies or is there a newer Klipsch line that is better then my KLF-20 and the BP8040s for content like movies?

I was close to going from RC62 to RC64 today, but after some talking and a good deal, I just ordered RF7II's to replace my RF82II's. RC64 will be in 6 months or so.

Had a shipping snafu (got one black and one cherry), and decided to go with cherry.

Second should be in this week. Also got this beast in Friday, and have a Marantz AV7702 preamp coming this week as well.

Crap, forgot I posted lol.

Are they any good. I've heard a few people say the center channel can get lost and the verbal tones can be quite hard to hear.

Thinking of purchasing these, or buying and building the Elusive 1099
