Most likely to the first part of your question, and yes to the second part.
Only GP, by itself, has been announced at this time.

Isn't the Futureshop exclusive 3-disc version the same as BB's in the US?

Yep, they confirmed it on their discussion forums a while back (if the identical-except for the billingual title- artwork wasn't obvious enough).

I noticed Amazon removed the placeholder (Rr) that might have been for the the 3-disc version.

I will not buy this Blu-ray, simply for that fact that if it's not presented in the original presentation (or as close to original as possible) I won't buy. Say Dark Knight was released with the IMAX aspect ratio scenes left in the 2.38:1 ratio? My parents would buy it, but I wouldn't because a big chunk of the movie was filmed in IMAX. That's why I will only watch TF:RotF the Walmart Exclusive Big Screen Edition. I'm officially mad at Brad Bird, in-fact tweet at hist twitter account and tell him to put the IMAX sequences in full screen!! And maybe he will reconsider as IGN pointed out.

You do know that to see the film in its original presentation you would need an IMAX projector, an IMAX screen, and an IMAX print of the film. The blu ray that is being released IS the closest to the original presentation that you can get for home viewing. So by your own statement you should be buying the movie.

The Best Buy exclusive cover looking at Tom Cruise from the front is much better than the regular version of looking at him off to the side.

Hence the statement "as close as possible."
That's how it starts. The fever. The rage. The feeling of powerlessness that turns good men . . . cruel.

the Best Buy exclusive cover art makes him have that "Spiderman pose" which is not a good thing and doesn't work here. So no I prefer the original release cover art over this one, thank you.

Unless a RZ coupon pops up before release date, I'll have to settle for the regular edition. With Chicago tax, the Best Buy edition would be more than $25, which I refuse to pay for a single movie.

I have to backup RAILERSWIM on this one, cropping the IMAX sequences to 1:78:1 not only simulates the immersion of the IMAX sequences in the home viewing experience, but it also preserves more of the image than cropping to match the rest of the film's scope AR. I simply wish Brad Bird could understand this. I do see his POV but reserving the IMAX viewing experience for theatrical exhibition is pointless when this film is unlikely to be released in IMAX, let alone regular theaters again in the future. Also, few IMAX theaters are 70mm anymore, and viewing the film in a digital IMAX theater means losing the height of the image, so it really makes more sense to put those scenes in 1:78:1 on Blu-ray, because the likelihood of seeing it in a (70mm) IMAX theater again is very unlikely.
