How much minutes of IMAX footage was there back in the theaters? Never got the chance to watch the IMAX scenes. Neither with the Blu-ray release.

Watch ParaNorman on Blu! It's phenomenal, and I didn't detect a single thing wrong with the transfer. No banding, no ringing, nothing, and yeah, that's really rare.

So, the BB version has a different, and better transfer?

Picked up MI 2 Blu for $7.99 at BB yesterday. I didn't like the film the first time I saw it - it didn't feel like a Mission Impossible film IMO - but it might grow on me upon further viewings. It's happened before.

It's certainly the weakest film of the four film franchise though.

The second movie is the only movie that I own that I started watching, turned off out of hatred and never finished. If it didn't come as a part of a boxed set, I'd have gotten rid of it long ago.

Agreed. It's tough to make it through M: I 2 in one setting unless you're just bored.

Has anyone tired to use the Ultraviolet/Digital copy code recently? It says it "may not be valid after 4/17/13".

Maybe when the fifth one rolls around they'll have a special edition of GP?

There's already a Special Edition of GP, just not an IMAX edition.

Original aspect ratio is 2.40 with 1.44 sequences.

I highly doubt we'll a version with shifting ARs for a while, if ever. Brad Bird has been very vocal in saying the different ARs was exclusively for the IMAX version, and he's the kind of guy who has the clout to get what he wants for the home video release.
