Exclamation Sony 3D blu ray player stopped playing 3D movies! Any help would be appreciated!

So we watched Born to be wild in 3D then we went to watch Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3D and it would try to play but it if like when you try to play a badly scratched DVD where the sound will play then it just freezes that's what happens. So thought maybe bad disc, so I put in Top Gun, which we just watched a few days ago, same thing. Try Born to be wild, I mean we just watched it so it has to work right, nope I was wrong, it did the same thing. Took player apart, cleaned it out really good, nothing. It plays DVD and 2D blu ray movies, but not 3D. Has anyone else ever experienced this before, and any suggestions?

Never had this type of problem before. May be your laser going out on you. I say this based on you still being able to play 2D blus and DVD.
Are you still under warranty? May want to goggle your problem or even YouTube. Another option is to either contact Sony or take it to Best Buy and let the Geek Squad look at it. Of course you could buy another one. Personally I would let the Geek Squad look at it to see if it's fixable. Good luck to you.

Yeah, it sounds like the laser might be going. Check to make sure you didn't accidentally change any of the 3D settings either if its only happening with 3D blu's, but I'd say its probably the laser.
