Default Does anyone else love reading?

Whenever I have free time, it seems like more often than not, I read. This can be news, online articles, ebooks, magazines, etc.

There's things I've realized about it. I wouldn't know most things I know, if I couldn't read. The more I read, the more I continually learn new things and realize I don't know the truth. Reading gives you knowledge and exposes you to new things all the time.

It is mentally stimulating and relaxing. I also (read) that, reading improves your memory and mind, since you imagine what you read. It is exercising the mind. For the mind, the benefits of reading are basically infinite. It takes you places and informs you of things you never imagined; expanding the mind. I can't count the number of times I've read something, and I've never looked at the world the same way again. It actually happens quite often.

Does anyone else love reading? It is one of the best things you can do. I've also realized, it makes you better in real life. Bits and pieces of everything you read come in handy in real life. The benefits are basically infinite.

I love to read. I prefer physical books. One my history professors in college said "A well-stocked mind is never bored nor boring."

yes of course I love reading. I still read books these days and Im kind of more open minded to other fantasy and sci fi books.

I even bought the first two Mistborn books just last year back in December.

That and trying to get back into the entire Wheel of Time series where I havent read the first 6 books since I was in high school in the mid late 1990s

I enjoy reading but wish I could just find more time for it. I'm mostly into novels (originals and tie-ins) but also the occasional autobiography/biography if it's someone I'm really interested in.

I love old obscure 1980s horror novels from Bantam or some other book publishing company.

odd stuff from familys living in haunted houses or odd novels about dolls that are haunted or possessed or whatever.

Yes. I just don't get enough time anymore. I've got hundreds of books on every topic, just about. Maybe when I retire I can get back to that old hobby of mine.

I was an English major; I definitely like to read, but I’m a sub-vocal reader who reads very, very slowly, and as a result, I tend to be more of an audiobook man.

Remember in the movie Life of Brian when the whole crowd parrots Brian, "YES, WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT!" but there is a lone guy who says, "I'm not!"?

That's me.

I hate reading; so I watch movies of books instead.
