Did anybody check out STEALTH?

How did it compare to the Sony Release? It would be nice to have some screencaps. BDinfo report seems promissing (AVC 20,99mbps x MPEG-2 16,74). Though the running time seems to be 2 seconds shorter.

Special display. The only other ones that jumped out at me were Hollow Man/Hollow Man 2 and Squid and the Whale/Running with Scissors.

I was the one who did that on AVS. If you need me to do screencaps, let me know

Crappy picture DEPLOY

I might go back for Ship of Fools/Lilith. These are all $5. Squid and the Whale/Running with Scissors is mixed in behind.

Yes, please!!

Did you account for the running time difference? Is it credits or production logos?

There was also:
-When a Stranger Calls / Happy Birthday to Me
That one, and the others already mentioned here were the only new ones I noticed.

I don't think they ever did a remake of Happy Birthday to me! But If that is the original when a stranger calls! OMG I want that BLU!

Holy shit you're right! I'm mixing it up with April Fool's Day, Prom Night and all those other horrid redos of the last few years! I have to get HBTM on blu, no matter which Stranger is on there with it. Of course original would be preferred (I'd watch it, never gonna bother with the remake again).
Sweetness!

Oh wait, if anyone has this, which music does Birthday have? Not sure if I could stomach the alternate crap from the first dvd.

Last thought: If it's the original Stranger, then why with Birthday and not When a Stranger Calls Back? Unless Back was shot with janky TV cameras... it was made for TV so that could be.
FINAL EDIT: Just looked at the dvds, and Back is from Universal (released through Goodtimes on dvd) so that would 'splain it.

Fingers crossed that When a Stranger Calls is the original film with Happy Birthday to Me. Esp since they are roughly the same time period. I would almost bet that Happy Birthday to Me has the music intact as it should be for the release Anchor Bay did a couple years back. No use changing it again now.

Pics anyone?

I've sen the Hostel 2 pack and the one with Stealth around, but no others. Plus that's only at one local store, the other store has never had any of them cuz it sucks and should close and die!

Is The Fan on one of those new sets (can't quite make out the picture, looks like my Blackberry camera, i.e. fuzzy and low-res)? I'd love to have that on blu if it's in the right ratio. I haven't heard of MC messing up ratios yet so that shouldn't be a problem, but with other cheap companies doing it I get nervous more will follow. It looked bad in 1.78 on cableHD, really bad, like an upconverted VHS.

I have the DVD re-release of the original WASC and it uses the same artwork that is on that Blu-ray pack so I think it's safe to say thet the original 1979 Stranger is the one in the blu-ray 2-pack

edit: Here is a pic of the last cover they used for the original Stranger on DVD, the one on that double feature looks almost identical to it

Those 2-packs are nice. But I've never seen a single copy of Mil-Creek's Ernest Scared Stupid in any store. Not even the dollar stores. And that's the one Ernest movie I truly need.

A while back, certain Walmarts had a $5 display with a bunch of Mill Creek Blu-rays and all of the Ernest films were there. Nowadays I would just order it from Walmart.com and do site to store. I did that for the Deep Rising/Puppet Masters 2-pack.

The Mill Creek double feature has the artwork from the Sony dvd, so it's possible the blu has the crappy new soundtrack. I hope not, cause this would be an epic release otherwise.

it is the original--I bought it last week. can't comment on the Happy Birthday To Me score issue, but the cover art used is the same as the crappy earlier dvd, and not the Anchor Bay release w/ original music.

Hudson hawk?? dang, the wife will beat me if I don't pick that one up. the dvd is well worn in our household. I wonder how some of these like "stealth" and "vertical limit" hold up to the their sony release counterparts
