Post #1 is for blu-ray releases of spaghetti westerns released for the North American market. Post #2 is for international releases of spaghetti westerns.

Please note that some of the international releases may not be Region A and/or English friendly.

I have included some films that might not meet the strict definition of "Spaghetti Westerns" but fall in the "Euro-Western" category or are similar to these films. In some cases the previous thread owner consulted the excellent book "ANY GUN CAN PLAY: THE ESSENTIAL GUIDE TO EURO-WESTERNS" by Kevin Grant.

I have on many occasions consulted The Spaghetti Western Database for information regarding the genre and the films, as well as the releases. I highly recommend anybody interested become acquainted with the database and their Forums!

I will update each post once new titles with artwork are announced, or if any other releases are brought to my attention that should be included.

Individual threads for these releases already exist in the Italian and German sections.

Ok.

You dont see the intention behind this thread? Its a gathering thread for spaghetti-western releases, just like the thousands other threads like this for different topics we have here.

Good afternoon,

I see perfectly what the intention of the thread is. However, the reason I mentioned that individual threads already exits is because merely linking to DVDLAND, for example, isn't going to be of much help to those who might be interested in the listed titles. On the other hand, the individual threads contain plenty of Region info and other details.

The Italian Mondo release of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly is missing from the list. It's much better in PQ than the MGM release but it has only Italian audio and Italian subs. It's region free.

I guess it wont be long before MGM releases the other Leone movies in Blu-Ray.

Edit: Added some screens for My Name Is Nobody and the Italian release of GBU.

Info for Italian "The Good, The Bad, The Ugly" and "For A Few Dollars More". They are both Region Free (not Region B).

Also, For A Few Dollars More is getting a German release (by MGM).

TGTBTU Italian master will probably never get used as MGM would have to pay for it and I doubt (especially with the financial trouble they are in) they would pay to use it. The Italian version was a restored print owned by the Leone family. FoD will probably look similar to the Italian version and FaFDM I don't know how it will look (different or the same as the Italian).

Yojimbo, the movie Leone made into A Fistful of Dollars, is available along with it's sequel Sanjuro through Criterion at the end of the month. Two excellent films from Kurosawa.

This actually played on my USA PS3 so I would say it is region free also. I don't speak Italian, but it is one of my favorite movies.
