Default Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night II (1987)

I've always thought that this sequel is better than the original, and I'd love to see it get the blu-ray treatment. A new restoration would be fantastic, and I'd love some special features as well (interviews with the cast and crew are always nice to see).

Currently watching this for the first time (saw the first one many years ago), and so far so good. Personally i think it's just a matter of time before someone releases it. I mean, when Grease 2 can actually be released on Blu-ray (i actually LOVE that movie, but never thought it would get a blu release) why not this too?

I see either Scream Factory or Vestron Video or some other company get a hold of the rights and do a blu-ray of this and maybe the 3rd one which isn't as good as the 2nd from what i have remember with new cover art etc.

Yeah, i was thinking in the lines of someone like them to release it. I could totally see that.

Saw this for the first time a couple weeks ago on Shudder's The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs, although sadly it was a full-screen version. Didn't like it as much as the first one, but I thought it was pretty good and had some cool deaths. I'd buy it on Blu-ray.

I've asked Scream many times to try to get the rights but they are always shot down to whomever currently has them. They've tried a few times to get a Blu-Ray for Hello Mary Lou but have been unsuccessful.

That's unfortunate, given the demand there seems to be for this. I got out of an afternoon showing of it at the New Beverly today; the print was near mint and there was a big turnout for it.
