Was able to score the new Berserk Artbook being sold at the Berserk / Miura gallery exhibit on display in Japan at the moment, through yahoo JP auction, can't wait for it to arrive!

How much did it cost you? Looks to be some listings on eBay for around $100.

I was going to bite but then I saw this:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Berserk/com..._be_available/

I'm gonna wait and see if I can get it for cheaper. Amazon JP would be ideal.

Where did you pre order from? Bullmoose is like 39.97.

Amazon, it dropped in price shortly after I pre-ordered. I believe Vol 8 and 9 both dropped the day or day after it was announced that Miura had passed away.

I'm almost caught up with the manga. Wrapping up Vol 36 now. I can't believe how long all of this Ghost Ship/Sea God stuff has gone on for. Seriously, I feel like this has dragged on way too long. Kinda disappointed because this is the only material I'd consider to be a low point up until now and it's right before the final chapter Miura did.

The pirate captain dude feels so out of place within the world of Berserk too. Not sure what's up with this arc but I'm not feeling it at all.

^^ You are further ahead of me than I anticipated my friend but thanks much for writing your thoughts.
I'm still only on Vol-4 (of the HCs) so a while to go yet.
I will say I'm absolutely loving it though and have been sporadically taking a break and trying to finish off "Hellsing" as well (one HC Vol to go, heh).
Ta!

I couldn't wait for the Deluxe volumes to catch up. I was thinking about it and I'd be waiting until around 2023 to get to volume 40/41. I bit the bullet and bought 25-40 in single volumes. I plan to continue buying the Deluxe volumes still.

It's not that the Sea God material is bad or anything, it just feels sort of out of place. It happens immediately following a huge event and takes forever to wrap up and get back on track for Guts' group. I won't go into detail, don't wanna spoil you.

^^ Fair enough, thanks for the clarification. I'd heard there were a few odd storylines in the series and I suppose this is one of 'em. Hope you are able to easily move past it and get into the meat of the main thread again soon, heh.

There should only be 4 volumes left of the hardcovers, 11-14 I'd imagine next year, 2022 will finish the series in HC Deluxe format.

Depends if they decide to speed up the releases. 10 is scheduled for March and if they follow the same pattern as this year then 11 will be August, 12 in November with 13 and 14 sometime in 2023.

Good Afternoon my friends;

I just wanted to quickly mention, that in addition to the Dark Horse rel of Vol-8 of Berserk (HC) I also managed to receive two accompanying books that are quite lovely indeed.;

- Berserk; HC, Vol 8
- Berserk: Written In Darkness; HC, by Quentin "Alt 236" Boeton, Third Editions Press
- Berserk: Official Guide Book; SC, by Kentaro Miura (RIP), Dark Horse Manga publishing (Manga sized).

Both of the accompanying Books, I would highly recommend to any that have a strong affection for the late, great Kentaro Muira's Story.

Might be worth noting here:

Dark Horse 'Weighs Options That Could Include Sale' -

The Bloomberg news website reported on Wednesday that North American comic book and manga publisher Dark Horse Comics is "working with an adviser to weigh options that could include a sale." Bloomberg said its reporting was according to "people familiar with the matter," and added it could not reach a Dark Horse representative for comment.

Bloomberg mentioned the situation in an article about a current boom for businesses selling content libraries.

Dark Horse revealed on Wednesday that it has promoted Cara O'Neil to director of marketing communications for the company. She joined the company in 2017.

Mike Richardson founded Dark Horse Comics in 1986 as an offshoot of his comic book store chain Things From Another World. The company published its first manga, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, in 1987.

The company formed a partnership with Hong Kong-based entertainment company Vanguard Visionary Associates in 2018. Richardson stated at the time that he would retain a "large chunk" of the company after a "large investment into a number of areas, including a stock purchase,... a development fund and a film fund, investment in the publishing and product divisions, and expansion of our retail efforts."

I imagine vol 14 would be the last, which would include vol 40 41 and the guidebook for an even 3 vol bundle.

^^ Not a fan of monopolies no matter who owns them. Wasn't aware they owned Koch Media as well. That explains a few things.
