I’ll be keeping my eye on this and the X90K as early front runners for my next tv.

If the rewards structure from Sony stays the same it looks like the jump in price from the x90K to the x95K will be massive at 83-90% depending on screen size
![]() I expected a price jump going to Mini LED but that seems egregious. Last edited by Diesel; 02-15-2022 at 03:32 AM. |

Sony just gave us the first allocation of their new 2022 75" and 85" X95K TVs! They are scheduled to arrive Monday, April 11th.
I saw the X95K on my three recent visits to Sony's San Diego, CA HQ and at Sony's NYC's Diamond Dealer meeting. This is the biggest advancements in MiniLED display technology and the new 2022 2nd Generation XR processor. |

This was my early front runner for my next tv back around CES but the QN90B has come on strong with some pretty high mark reviews. Anxiously waiting until we start getting full on reviews for this one to see if it holds on to the lead
![]() The $500 higher MSRP than the Samsung is a concern for me but I wouldn’t be buying until at least November/December, possibly as late as March, so both should be going for well below those initial prices by the time I pull the trigger. |

Both are excellent 2022 TVs! Samsung's new QN95B will be the flagship 4K MiniLED TV for the 2022 model year.
The X95K is one of my favorite TVs for this year and the excellent backlight control and this new MiniLED panel with its very high contrast combined with the beautiful color accuracy and 100% color volume help this new MiniLED with Sony's Backlight Master Drive powered by Sony's 2nd generation XR processor help this TV deliver very accurate and naturally dynamic images. |

DeWayne Davis, aka D-Nice is at our store today taking care of a lot of TVs to be calibrated. He just finished one of Sony's X95K MiniLED BackLight Master Drive TVs and here's some of the calibration measurements:
After Calibration the X95K's peak luminance is 1800 Nits, with Dolby Vision it's 100 Nits brighter, which is a good thing. Minimum luminance is 0. That's Zero!!! One minor detail that can't be seen is the MLL raises very slightly when a very bright full field image is displayed the blacks raise very minimally. |

I watched a video ya made on YouTube, forgot channel name. You had random demo slides playing in the background from LG etc. I was trying to spot the 4 corners in that video. Cause that is where DSE usually is easily seen on Sony HDR TVs. |
