Default Titans of Cult Collection

I thought I'd create a thread with the details of the new Titans of Cult collection..

What is Titans of Cult

Posted by PaulBoland in the Mad Max Thread...
Quote:
Titans of Cult releases so far are released in UK/France/Italy

If you not aware Titans of Cult is a label from Scanavo the company who make steelbooks

All 4 releases so far are Warner Brothers Films Titles

Wonder Woman Best Buy steelbook although is using the same artwork as Titan of Cult steelbook
The USA release is not a Titans of Cult release

Wonder Womsn Titans of Cult release will be different to Best Buy release
Titans release will have their logo on the spine and be using different slip and includes other items inside the slip

Glad to see this get a topic. This is a line i was very happy that i got in on at the start instead of getting into it late and having too buy old releases at marked up prices.

Heres to hoping this becomes a big collection and maintains the quality it's shown so far.

one note though, if it does become a big collection, you should look into doing whatever they did with the mondo X steelbook collection thread where all the pictures were small.

For now though i'd just put the images under spoiler tags. as is it'll only take 1 person quoting the OP for the first page to be used

I'm not sure how to do the nice images on the Mondo X thread, but I've added the links to other threads in the titles and moved images into spoiler tags.

very nice ya i dont know how to do that either but to be honest we're probably a ways off from that being needed anyway.

Thank for creating this thread MarioBrickLayer, much appreciate it!

Only thing I don't like about this Titan of Cult line is the inconsistency in retailers, which is also the one thing I hate most about the Mondo line. But thanks to this thread, it will be easier to track down a copy of each release.

Would be nice if the US picked up a few of these.
Especially now when international shipping is sparse, at best.

Not sure what I would like to see. Maybe a cool Dredd steelbook with his badge as the magnet!

I like that idea!

All the releases so far have been Warner Bros, assuming that continues (I don't think this is a Warner Bros only brand, but who knows), I'd love to see any of the following:-

1. Unforgiven
2. Goodfellas
3. LA Confidential
4. Casablanca
5. The Departed
6. The Maltese Falcon

I have discounted recent Warner Bros movies which have had a 4k steelbook (Gremlins, The Matrix, Batman, The Shining, Inception etc)

Honestly if they maintain the quality they've shown so far even if i don't like or haven't heard of the movie i'll keep buying.

Ofcourse i'm also a massive sucker for numbered collections which is why my mondo line is my favorite

I preordered Wonder Woman but none of the others (although I was debating Fury Road. I snoozed, I lost). If I like how WW turns out I'll definitely keep collecting the movies I want.

Escape From New York would be an awesome choice.
Outside of Blade Runner, all the other film IMO don’t strike me as “cult” films. They are all too new, and basically tentpole films. I get that they need to move units and probably have a short list of what titles are available, but get some older films in the mix.

They clearly have a good working relationship with Warner Bros (and I said as such on Twitter), so I'd be open to the Burton/Schumacher Batflicks. Maybe some Kubrick.

the fact they said they are interested in what we'd like to see makes me think they aren't limited to just warner bros.

doesnt prove anything until we see a non-warner bros to be released but still.

Hope they expand out. If it's still Warners only I wouldn't mind getting the two Clash of the Titans and Wrath of the Titans movies to go a little old school (if they have 4k scans available).
