I met him at the Telluride film festival. He was one heck of a nice guy. But you couldn't ask him what he thought about any recent movie that was coming out soon, apparently he was contractually not allowed to talk about any new movie until after the review had been published.

Default This is nice

This is nice to think about given that this game and the entire franchise was pretty good. I hope that the movie is pretty nice to keep seeing and I hope that it will be good to keep seeing and I feel like there are some cool movies pretty soon.

Finally watched it. This movie was fantastic. A true love letter to the franchise. I didn't mind Pratt as Mario . I can't wait to see what they put in the sequel. Love all the homages in it

Always wanted an animated Super Mario Bros. movie but was a bit disappointed cause I expected it to be more than it was but we will see where the sequel goes.

The power up blocks just being there with very little explanation. If everybody has them then anybody could just use them and invade the different kingdoms with them but maybe they will implement security measures in the sequel that locks opposing sides out of each other's power up blocks if need be. Maybe in the sequel they can bring in extra lives upgrades & Mario or Luigi have to use one of their spare lives to bring the other back.

That could very well be; a pair of animated plumbers.
It should inspire future flicks from movie directors.

Summer is Wednesday; it's gong to be a long day.

I would not have guessed that earlier in the year.

Critics are as useful as the viewers that tend to agree with them. I find a few that I almost always agree with and use them for screening and filtering new films. Nothing wrong with this. Although, in general, yes they are useless.

I really enjoyed this movie. So many great references and fun moments. The kart racing and platforming sequences were really well integrated and I loved the score. Mario was a lot of fun and Bowser wasn't just a one-note bad guy.

Above average video game adaption. Recommended for sure!

He could see the fun in a lot of films while Gene was like your typical movie snob. It wasn’t surprising Gene gave thumbs down to Splash, but Roger??? Yeah thumbs down.

Both thought Tom Hanks wasn’t great in the role.

When I saw Splash I knew it was great, Tom was fantastic and it would be a hit.

Some movies are critic proof, Super Mario Bros is one of them.

and yes critics are useless. The RT Audience score is the only one worth contemplating.

Last good critics were Siskel and Ebert even though they both didn’t like Splash.
Wrong-O!

Uh, not really.

For the ten billionth time, film criticism isn’t about “telling people what to like.” Junk copy writers may say something dumb or beside the point about a movie like this, it doesn’t mean you should throw out thoughtful discussion about film…or anything.

Rotten Tomatoes is only good for links, it shouldn’t be used for anything else.

It’s over for movie critics if you want to read their reviews that’s fine and your choice. Newspapers are over, journalism is over. Everything is slanted left or right.

I get more on this forum and can respond to opinions I disagree with.

If an audience likes a film, that’s a film worth seeing or at least taking a chance on.

The RT audience score is a guide, an indicator even though RT manipulates and censors data on their site.

and for the ten billionth time I’ll say it, critics are useless.
