So funny.
Video games typically don't make me laugh, but yeah, HoL definitely cracked me up a few times. I fell off it due to backlog, but it's a clever game.

Goldeneye launching 1-27. Free also for people who own Rare Replay digitally. Looks to be a port of the original game and not the XBLA version. Also online multiplayer only on NSO version.

Crazy that there's no online play. I will play campaign on Xbox and just use the Switch for multiplayer I guess.

Bummer, I was hoping for the improved XBLA version. I guess it is the same as including the N64 version of Conker in Rare Replay instead of the Xbox remake. Any chance the XBLA version will be available separately?

I'd say zero chance which is sad. I hate when stuff is essentially finished but stuck in limbo. I played it on emulator a while back and it's pretty good.

Hi-Fi Rush looks like fun, makes me think a bit of JSRF and Sunset Overdrive.

I played around an hour or so of Hi-Fi Rush and I enjoyed it quite a bit. I feel like the running is a bit clunky, but the animation and dialogue are really nice. I don't ever want to take for granted how great games can look again because this one looks phenomenal.

Been playing Goldeneye the past couple days, still so much fun. I have been playing on 00 Agent and the thing I forgot about is - no checkpoints.

And very little health/armor. You really have to play methodically.

Xbox Game Pass subscribers are set to get free access to one of this month's biggest releases, courtesy of a free trial. As we noted earlier this month, February has a plethora of big and notable releases. One of these big and notable releases, Wild Hearts, comes the way of EA and developer Omega Force. There's no word of the game being made available via Xbox Game Pass, but Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers -- which is to say, subscribers to the premium version of Xbox Game Pass -- will get a free 10-hour trial with the game once it releases.

The deal is made possible via EA Play, which all Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers get access to with their subscription. Like all EA Play trials, this is 10 hours of total play. In other words, it's not 10 hours once redeemed. So, the trial clock starts when you boot up the game, runs if you leave it on even when you're not actively playing, but stops once you close out the application.

As for the game itself, it's set to release on February 17 via PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Since the game was revealed back in September, there's been considerable hype and lots of comparisons to the series it's clearly inspired by, Monster Hunter.

"Wild Hearts is a unique twist on the hunting genre, where technology gives you a fighting chance against fearsome beasts infused with the ferocious power of nature itself," reads an official blurb about the game. "Take on these creatures alone or hunt with friends in seamless co-op."

The game's official pitch continues, with story details: "No one remembers why the Kemono began their rampage through a once-prosperous Azuma. Fueled by desperation, they wield the power of primal nature at its most destructive. For a while, it seemed that none could stand against their overwhelming might. But hope arrives in the form of a formidable hunter armed with deadly weapons and ancient technology called Karakuri that could turn the tide of battle."

Anyone here play Planet of Lana? It was pretty fun, but it’s also pretty short. I used cloud gaming since it’s more puzzles than action, I’m also nearly out of storage and didn’t feel like managing it. Anyway, I enjoyed it but probably would have skipped, were it not for Game Pass.

Planet of Lana is on my list of games to play. I just got the full 1000 GS for Serious Sam 4, which was a decent play through. And now I have started working on Chorus. It’s been really fun so far. Wish I would’ve played this one sooner.

Chorus looks really cool, but I doubt I will get to it before it leaves Game Pass.
