Anyone heard anything about this upcoming release:

http://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/B...d_i=2495298051

I could be mistaken, but it sounds like some sort of compilation disc?

It's probably a compilation film of Yamato 2199series. There will be also another Yamato2199 movie with new story :

What are the chances of Sailor Moon being Region Free? It's my favourite anime of all-time, so these sets are essential! I'm over the moon (excuse the pun) at this announcement, but I live in the UK!

Practically 0% being Viz.

There is a work around that works on some titles to get them to play on Region B though.

Even though Viz Media titles are all Distributed by Warner Bros who are alway good about releasing Region ABC titles. But that just proves no matter the Distributing, it's still a Viz Media title.

Buying the ADV/Geneon seasons back in the day set you back about $500. Looking at Ranma 1/2, I'd expect each of these new sets will run ~$50, so look at getting more content for roughly the same price.

North American anime distributor Funimation announced its English dub cast for Senran Kagura at its Anime Central panel on Saturday. Funimation will release the series on Blu-ray Disc and DVD on July 29.

Asuka Felecia Angelle
Katsuragi Brittney Karbowski
Ikaruga Alexis Tipton
Hibari Megan Shipman
Yagyu Bryn Apprill
Homura Monica Rial
Haruka Teri Rogers
Mirai Lara Woodhull
Hikage Kara Edwards
Yomi Trina Nishimura

Jerry Jewell will serve as the ADR director, and Cris George will serve as the ADR engineer.

Funimation also shared a trailer for the English dub and a synopsis:

From the Dynamic Duo that brought you Ikki Tousen comes a revealing tale of naughty ninjas sucking down sushi rolls and busting up the competition!

Asuka and her friends may look like any other girls at Hanzo Academy, but they're secretly studying the ancient art of Ninjutsu! While other students do their homework, Asuka and the gang push their beautiful bodies to the breaking point in pursuit of their perfect form. Life is one sexy sparring session after another until a Deviously Demented rival clan of evil ninjas ambushes the Hanzo hotties – and steals their sacred ninja scroll. Faced with their toughest – and most well-rounded – enemies ever, Asuka and her fellow Deadly Divas will have to go further than they've ever gone before to prove they've mastered the art of full frontal combat!

Whether you like blondes or brunettes; good or evil; big or EXTRA BIG; this series based on the action packed video game proves once and for all that a ninja beat down is the most exhilarating beat down of all!

Was in a rush to work and pickup, but earlier today (long out of stock by now) Best Buy had Yu-Gi-Oh Season 4 DVD for $9.99. Got mine store pickup for $10.69, and then price matched Amazon to get Season 1 and 2 for like $51.

Is Yu-Gi-Oh only 5 seasons? Getting 3/5 for $62 seems like a good deal to me, even if it is a blind buy. I played the card game a bit in middle school, but never saw the anime on 4Kids!

This original Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters series is in fact 5 Seasons(so excluding its sequel series like Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal, 5Ds, the original Yu-Gi-Oh!, etc.), the Pyramid of Light movie and the extra Capsule Monsters episodes.

Maybe, but its not a real high priority. Plus I hope they can keep it at 4:3 and not try to make the picture quality like as if it were made today.

I did store pickup when it WAS listed on website for $9.99, but the online listing is taken down now. My friend who just walked in said it was on a sale rack, near the anime section with other titles. I didn't get a chance to see what else was on sale, but if it's the rack I'm thinking of, it might have been Wolf Children and Robotics;Notes Part 1 standard, but at the time I saw, they were just a few bucks off.
