I'm hoping that in two weeks, Bandai will announced the release of Gundam to Blu-ray. May it be the older films or the Gundam 00 (which I have never seen).

Personally, I'm really looking forward to "Swords of the Stranger" even though I haven't even seen it yet. So I hope I will like it once I've got my hands on the blu-ray. Otherwise, it's gonna be a poor decision on my part lol. I've heard the fight scenes are excellent so....... hopefully it's good.

Didn't Urban Vision have the licenses for these three? Just checked their website to see if they are still around and saw that they did release Azumi 2 in 2008 but haven't seen any other updates on the site. But you never know... Anything's possible.

I know Japan has Escaflowne movie on Blu-ray(though probably doesn't have English subs or English dubbed version only Japanese dub)

Urban Vision doesn't have the money to risk making Blu-ray copies(or for that matter they don't even have enough money to even try making Blu-ray movies). Urban Vision is going the same path that Central Park Media went(not releasing anything in over a year's time and then eventually go bankrupt). So someone else like maybe Bandai, Funimation or even Media Blasters or ADV/Sentai should pick up those series if anything happens to Urban Vision. Urban has the license to the Golgo OVA and movie(though most of the license to Golgo is expired and only Urban is the only one left that still has any license to it left)but however as for the tv series of Golgo 13 who knows because no one licensed it to America(as far as I know). Ninja Scroll, Urban Vision has the tv series but Manga Entertainment has the 1st movie and 2nd movie needs to be licensed. ADV Films/Sentai Filmworks already received the licensed and released Pet Shop of Horrors on dvd so at least we know that Urban's series will be picked up.

that anime is so awesome. I emailed Viz Media awhile back and they said that they were definitely looking into putting their collections on blu. (so that has to be exciting news for us anime fans!!!). Also, I heard that Funimation was going to release Trinity Blood on blu, which is also one of my favorites.

I wouldn't be surprised if FUNi releases FullMetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (aka FMA2) on Blu-ray. It is coming out on Blu-ray in Japan, but then again, reverse importation may make it difficult to get the necessary rights.

Also, it has been said that FUNi will release the FullMetal Alchemist movie on Blu-ray.

Doesn't say but I'm guessing like most Bandai Blu's that I own, it will give you the choice of selecting the Japanese menu or English menu. Will watch it soon (have a few more Blu-rays I need to watch and write reviews for). Definitely looking forward to it.

Well with Funimation you never know though I mean they also said Blue Gender complete series plus movie was coming soon to Blu-ray, never happened. Gunslinger Girl complete season 1, still nothing plus Witchblade complete series, and Tsubasa season 1. Also, that Fullmetal Alchemist movie was supposed to be out like about at least 4 months ago.

Also in Japan they have Tenchi Muyo with English audio and I hope Funi picks it up after Geneon went under along with all of their licenses(unless Geneon USA wants it back).

Beats me but I do know this I didn't buy it because 1. Too expensive, 2. comes in a dvd case, 3. comes with a dvd to add to the price, 4. to hard to find these days and 5. I'll just wait for a re-release on it just like Royal Space Force: Wings of Honneamise.

Anything by Miazaki (SP?) would be greatly appreciated.

Seeing Evangelion on Blu would be incredible too. I'm hoping they import the newer movies (You are (not) alone, etc..) to the US soon, and when they do one Blu-ray would be nice!

Seeing as how Fuimation got the You Are Not Alone movie I wouldn't be surprised if they did release a Blu-ray version.

As for Miyazaki movies it may not be a Miyazaki movie but Origin should hold over Miyazaki fans until Disney releases the Miyazaki movies.

If you're talking about the U.S. release of Jin-Roh, it came with a book, not a DVD (although the Japanese release did include the DVD). I believe the MSRP for it was $99.99, so $75 is actually a decent price (I think I got it for around $65 when it first came out). It does come in a DVD case, but the box looks good sitting next to my Honneamise releases of Wings of Honneamise, Ghost in the Shell, and Avalon. The PQ for Jin-Roh is probably not going to "wow" anyone, but it probably looks the way it was intended, and it looks miles better than the region 1 DVD.

Awww, hells yeah! I cna't wait for the re-vamp, even though from what I 've seen, the only difference is that addition of a little CGI. EVA on Blu though with the remixed 5.1 score in lossless would be legen-wait for it-dary!

So those would be part of the "uber diamond platnium collection" knowing disney. They release quality stuff but come on, pick a precious resource and stick with that collection.
