Hot Deals Forum Rules

A Hot Deal is defined as: A LEGITIMATE sale that anyone and everyone can take advantage of at a website or retail store. It is not

A- XXXX is up for pre-order at amazon!
B- Look at the steal I got on XXXXX!!
C- Reporting of everyday prices that happen to be low

1. Webmasters are not allowed to advertise their own sites. *
2. You are not allowed to post advertising including referral links.
3. You are not allowed to have advertising or advertising links or referral links. in your signature.
4. You are not allowed to have a username that's the same as a site, or similar indirect advertising.
5. You are not allowed to post scans of manufacturer's coupons, however, posting an alert that a certain store has coupons available is allowed.
6. Do not post links to eBay auctions for individual items (QTY 1) eBay links are allowed if its a volume seller and if the item has a large QTY of said item. (ex. Buy.com offers some great eBay deals and is allowed.)
7. Do not solicit members to split Amazon Prime as its a violation of their TOS

* The idea for this forum is for users to share hot deals that they've found, not for webmasters to advertise their offerings. If a deal is good enough other users should be compelled to post about it here anyway.

Do not thread crap or reply if you are not adding anything to the thread. If there is a deal or sale posted that you don't feel is 'hot', then move on and do not post that it sucks or that you will pass on it or that you already have the titles listed. It's unnecessary and it just adds to the general frustration of an already tense area of the forum. This is not a discussion area.

Also don't insult the posters by saying that they or their thread doesn't belong here. The mods are on top of which topics need to be in which areas of the site and it will be taken care of. If you do know of another thread already covering the topic, kindly post the link to it and that it's already posted elsewhere. 'Use the search' is not the same thing and accomplishes nothing. Report the post and tell us why it doesn't belong.
If you quote a message that has been removed, your post will be removed also, so don't quote flag-worthy material.

If you notice that a thread needs a title changed, PM a mod with the link and they will fix it. If you're unsure if your deal should be posted here, you can always ask to be sure. If a posted thread doesn't belong here it will be moved to the proper area.

There have been numerous attempts to split Amazon Prime memberships. This is against the spirit of Amazon Prime. From now on anyone trying to split or otherwise dupe Amazon will earn an automatic suspension of 10 days - no excuses.

This also applies to any other sort of scam against any other companies.

If you happen to get a store to adjust your order, price match or refund you, DO NOT post it on here as it incites others to badger customer service for something they may not be entitled to and that is also a scam, especially Amazon's 30 day price guarantee which no longer exists. This is starting to get out of hand.

Anyone discussing ways to scam a store will also get a 10 day suspension no questions asked.

Added Amazon Prime rule here, Its stickied in Off topic but as a general rule it applies to the entire forum

eBay rule updated to reflect a change to benefit you guys. iceman said its ok to post ebay deals from volume sellers and if theres a QTY of more than 1. Of course, dont go overboard and provide a link to the said item.

Also, Anytime you post a deal, please post a link to the site or the actual deal. It helps and the site benefits
