The Studio line is more dynamic, it almost feels like the sound is a lot cleaner coming out of them, less boomy, especially with music.

Less ear fatigue at higher levels and they fill the room a lot better than the Monitors would have. However, I never had an amp connected to my Monitors so it wouldn't be fair to judge based on that.

Thanks.

Depends on what your fronts are. For example, the ADP-390 would be a better sonic match for the Monitor 11's & the CC390 than the ADP-190.

When I bought my Studio's I was quoted $1700 CAD for the 60's, I ended up going with the 100's. My 690 was $1250, my 20's with the J-29 stands were $1450. What will be the total cost for the system including your trade in value? It also depends on your relationship with your dealer, this was the third system I purchased from the same dealer so I think that helped. Paradigm has been making more price increase's lately also, I'm not sure of all the exact models but the subs have been getting more expensive lately. I didn't really find much of a difference between the 20's and the 60's except for the need of stands, which evens out the price quickly if you go with the Paradigm stands. The Paradigm stands are the best I've ever owned though, excellent build quality and looks. Have you listened to the Studio's? You should go take a listen and see which combination of speakers you like the best vs your budget. I went with the 100's over the 60's because I didn't want to look back and wonder "What would the 100's be like?"

You would be using the 20's for the 6 & 7 channels right? I was using my 20's for those channels for awhile and it's just a waste, the 20's are more speaker than you'll ever need for that application. I moved my 20's upstairs to my two channel system and dug out my Atom's to replace them. You should go for the 10's, when I get around to it I'll replace the Atoms with those.

I use an older Atom as my single rear channel, and it does a very good job IMO.

I would agree that the Atoms do a fine job. The only reason I'm going to replace them is every time I see them it bothers me that they don't match. I know that it's a silly reason but let' just say it's one of my quirks.

Hes a liar.... If he made $185 off of you then you would have walked into a dark AV store and wouldn't be able to listen to anything.

I thought you were getting the 690 for the center, 60's for the l&r, 60's for the 4 & 5 and 20's for the 6 & 7. 20's for the 4 & 5 are good , but for the surround backs there's not enough content in those channels to make it worth it. So for side surrounds 20's are good, surround backs go with the 10's.

Go with the 10's for the 6 & 7, you're spending too much for those channels with the 20's. The 10's are all you need for the back.

hello george youl will like the studio 60s , if you get them, be sure to try different placements with them as it says in the manual it can change your sound alot. i had to tweak mine several times before finally choosing a final resting place.
