Yep. It looks like fingerprint smudges. I can't figure out if it is part of the design or not

best buy always has had a bad rep when it comes to special editions of anything. every time i go there is a hassle. the employees dont know their products. they have outsourced the movie section and those people dont know their products.

Again, and how does going out of business help any of that?

$17.99 this week, BB near the office apparently still has copies. Might pick this up after all.

You would feel better if a company went out of business and thousands of people lost their jobs?
How very shortsighted of you.

That makes no sense. You are fully aware of how markets and business work correct?

If all the retail stores like BB and WM and Target were to stop selling movies, then that would leave Amazon. Amazon in turn would have no one they would have to price match and then could set the price of the movie for whatever they wanted. So if they wanted to charge $29.99 for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes then they could. Then there would be no exclusives at all. And if there were, again Amazon could set a high price and we as consumers would have no option but to be forced to buy from that one said retailer.
Also like rick said, people need jobs and we as a country need businesses to generate tax revenue to pay for infrastructure. Without each other we'd end up like some third world country. I mean we are on the brink of that anyway but it could be far worse.
I mean; you work, correct? Would you want to lose your job. Most people today can't even get a job because there aren't even. And even then no one wants to pay full time because there is no money for numerous reason. Obamacare being one of them.

You should never wish people to lose their jobs. I mean I can understand being upset at a business. But if you don't like said business, take your money elsewhere.

Also did you have them check the RSS or are you just going by what bb.com said? And you can always ask them to look around for you. It pays to get to know the people that work at your store as well. I have built many friendships with the employees at my local store and they are always willing to help me. If that means going into the back to check they are always willing to do so.

I dont want to have people lose their jobs.
best buy's customer service leaves lots to be desired.
maybe if the company put more effort into training its employees about
their own products instead of always trying to sell me something (IE satellite service for instance)

Again it pays to get to know the people. I can't say that for all BB's and I feel you on the CS training.

When I went to pick up the TMNT steelbook (blah!) I noticed they still had around 8-10 copies of this. Do you think it's not selling out with collectors because it's a Metalpak, the lack of 3D or both?

People probably just don't care to much for the movie. I don't think it being a Metalpak is the issue. I mean there where still 4 at my BB the other day as well.

I think they overproduced for this one. Also, it's kind of ugly. I went with the regular 3D slip too. It matches the first movie.

I loved the movie but I wasn't the biggest fan of the design they gave the MetalPak, I just didn't like it. Its the rare case when the 3D slipcover is much nicer.

If I own a company, it's better that incompetent people lose their jobs instead of my company going out of business due to incompetent people. Companies should not breed an environment of mediocrity to prevent employees from being incompetent.

Have to disagree with this.

I think the metalpak design is freaking gorgeous.

Very cool and very well made.
