Well, I have tried the Crackdown and Dead Rising 2 freebies. Can't say I am impressed with either. Assassin's Creed 2 simply had no appeal. This coming from a seasoned first person and third person shooter fan.

Yes, I am again asking for PURE and/or some other underrated racing game. September should be racing games. October can be side scrollers such as Sonic and War of the Worlds. Classics or figters in November. December; just surprise us with something great.

Are the "free" games available still or is this a limited time offer each month? Seems like most of the games they are announcing I either have or have no interest in as a dlc. What's everyone else's thoughts?

The games are free to till your account goes silver. When you revert back to gold it'll be there to play again. If you want the game your best bet is to DL and and get it into your DL history. As long as it is in your history you'll be able to delete it and redownload as many times as you want.

As far as limited time each month? Yes the game that is released on the 1st of each month is good till the 15th. Then the game that is available on the 15th is good till the 1st of the next month. As long as they have this program going this has been the timetable. Again, even if you don't want the game. Start the download to get it locked into your history. You don't have to keep it on the HDD. You can delete it and then if you want to play it later just redownload it.

I would have liked the Halo 1 Remake. Its the only one I don't own but I don't have enough desire to actually purchase it. Since we are eventually getting Halo 3 though I will doubt that will happen. I've owned all but one of the games that they have given out so far. (the Assassin's Creed game because I got it on PS3 instead)

I'd just be happy with something that I don't have that retails for at least (around) 9.99 used.

Default Please extend the Games for Gold

Out of all the free games so far, I really LOVE Defense Grid and I kinda like the Tom Clancy RainbowSix Vegas. Looking forward to Halo 3.

But I really hope to see Microsoft extend this free offer indefinately. It's not like there is a shortage of great free games which can use a resurgence of interest.

Even if they drop it down to one freebie a month, and two a month for the holidays. It is a great way to get players interested in some underated games and drop a few bucks on the DLC's.

I also think Microsoft should consider the games people are pinning the most.

I never would have bought Crackdown or Clash of Heroes, but am enjoying both of them immensely.

To reiterate to Microsoft, please see above. I suppose the rule should be games dated 2 or more years ago. Or some other voting system?

I deleted Assassin's Creed II simply because I didn't care for it and wanted the space. But in keeping true to Microsoft's word, it is indeed mine to keep as I am still able to d/l it for free.

Anyone know what the next game is? While I already have Halo 3 but I did download it. I played a little multi-player and got my ass handed to me lol. I've been playing Reach and Halo 4 settings for so long that I need to configure the controller to the same on 3 I guess. 3 was where I came into the franchise.

Major Nelson would be the first to know. He's the MS guy in charge of that stuff.
