Thumbs up World of Tanks (Beta). Anyone playing it?

The downloadable Xbox 360 beta has only been opened one other time since I got it a few months ago. If you don't have it, you have to wait or play the PC version.

It is multiplayer only. I usually do not like muiltiplayer as those guys tend to mop the floor with me. But now I am learning to hold my own. Think of your favorite military shooter and simply replace your soldier with a tank. Something like that.

The fact it tore me away from "Defense Grid: The Awakening" which tore me away from "Hydro Thunder: Hurricane" is saying something. (What can I say, I like games with colons in the title. )

Fighting for silver and XP points so you can upgrade your tank, or simply buy bigger and better tanks is fun time well spent. Hunt, snipe or ram your way for kills.

Been thinking of going to the PC version for the improved visual experience. But I would prefer if I could take my existing tanks with me.

I played it when they had the first open beta for it and enjoyed it. For a free game it isn't bad.

Started playing this about a month ago. It's a decent game that's marred by appalling matchmaking. Every level of progression has had me pitted against lobbies where a good 95% of the opposition tanks are far superior to mine. Being constantly one-shotted completely kills the game for me.

Confirmed as coming to the XB1 later this year.

All progress will work across both platforms, ie tanks you have on the 360 already WILL carry over to the XB1.

Also, although not supporting platoons, the game WILL play x-platforms, ie. 360 players will be in the same battles as XB1 players.
