Wow. I wonder if this is enough for me to daydream that they might release UHD discs of the first three movies as well.

And use the HK transfers for the first two films. My HK BDs look so much better than the US BDs.

We can both dream....I can't believe part 4 is getting a 4k treatment. Pretty cool.

I am really happy to see that Well Go USA are starting to embrace 4k UHDs for some bigger (at least in Asia) releases. It gives me hope not just for other movies from the Ip Man "quadrilogy" but other movies should they ever get a rerelease/remaster that may go through them as the distributor. Sure, it isn't very likely but... there are just all too many Asian films that could benefit from this.

Wishful thinking on my part... I'm aware!

I just hope this means it will get a 4k release here in Canada. If not, I might need to import a copy

Great news. Martial Arts is my favorite genre, so I'm glad Well Go is jumping in the 4k game even more after releasing Shadow.

IP Man box set would be great. I'd preorder that no matter the price.

$5million

Godzilla360: SOLD!

Haven't seen the latest Ip Man yet, didn't enjoy Ip Man 3 as much as 1 or 2 but I'm still interested in the finale. Loved that first main action scene in Ip Man 1 where the foreigner is fighting against all the school masters, I've watched it so many times & still hope that the masters will win

I used to own the Ip Man 1 & 2 HK blurays and always found the first one to look a bit weird with the filters applied

I'd love a boxed set with all four IP Man movies, as well as Master Z: IP Man Legacy, which gathers all previous bonus materials (Either their respective bonus discs, or a new "collection" disc, accumulating all of the bonus materials). Throw in the 4K UHD disc of IPM4, and I'd pay Phantasm Collection money for a set like that. Even more, if a boxed set had all 5 movies in 4K UHD.

Wanted to wait for a complete set but ended up pre-ordering the 4k after the price dropped to $19.99 on amazon

$20 is a pretty good price for 4k but no digital.

I wouldn't go off that banner. I'd wait and see what's inside the actual case.

Was the first Ip Man shot partly in SD? Some random shots in it look rather low res even on the HK BD, and there are some shots from one camera in an early fight that have massive smeary contrails.

I've noticed some you on this thread mentioning a HK BR? I guess it refers to Honk Kong BR correct?

How come the HK BR release was better than the US one?

Also I'm in Australia, do you guys know what BR releases we usually get down under? US or European?

I'm a huge fan of Ip Man and Bruce Lee movies and seeing this post made me so excited at the prospect of watching the last Ip Man in UHD
