I watched the films back-to-back in September via an IMAX double bill and it definitely felt to me that Pennywise had more screen time in Chapter Two. I think the longer running time is throwing people off.

In #2?

It was a pretty good adaptation of the scene in the book. Putting (IMHO) King ahead of his times...

Running time? Nah. The adult cast having a fraction of the chemistry that the kids do? Yeah.

I mean that the running time is convincing folks that Pennywise is barely in the film, when he's probably in it more than he was in the previous one.

Ah. Soz.

but re: Pennywise, what doesn't help is that he just kinda does the same thing over and over and over in Chapitre Deux, that sped-up shuffle thing, and then people run away, then he does it to someone else, then they run away, and so on. It just felt genuinely creepier in the first movie, and as someone said above one of the best moments in the second one was when he was out of costume.

I think mike would prefer herpes to anything that had Dolby written on it

Only just noticed that he's no longer banned. Very twisty.

Agree 100%. I came off pretty negative in my last post but I really enjoyed Chapter 2, actually more than It (2017) and part of that is down to my expectations going in. John Ritter is the only redeeming aspect of the adult segments in the 1990 miniseries IMO.

I'd read a bit of criticism about the de-aging of the kids in this but i thought it was actually well done, the only one it stood out a bit with was the chubby kid, who i'm guessing had lost a bit of weight since they shot the first IT.

Still waiting for the Super Cut, what we saw in theaters is just the tip of the iceberg and really a slice of Muschietti's vision.

It's pretty bad in the clubhouse scene - Eddie especially looks kinda monstrous - but I barely notice it in the other flashbacks.
