To be fair the point of a 4k (or even 2k for less popular films) remaster is to have a "permanent" copy for future home video releases, like a digital intermediate. MGM just did it really early when the tech was flawed, and now don't have the resources to want to do it again unless they have to. It sucks but it is what it is.

The Goldeneye remaster is lovely though. Not sure of Tomorrow Never Dies and up got one or not.

Park Circus have had 4K DCPs of the Dalton and Brosnan flicks available for a while now, it looks like MGM did actually remaster those in 4K at some point, and not as part of the Lowry remasters. And we already know that Spy Who Loved Me got a then-new non-Lowry transfer for the 2012 Blu.

Yeah. I know that Thunderball and Goldfinger have apparently been remastered since their 2008/2012 BD releases with some DNR apparently being fixed with both and the print damage on thunderball being repaired. The 4K stream of Goldeneye on Stan was the biggest upgrade I have ever seen from a crappy DNR/EE disc to a filmic and lush 4K remaster only ruined badly by Stans horrible encoding that makes any SC botch job look like a Arrow release

I was going by what all I've read before about only Dalton and up getting remasters on iTunes. If Goldfinger and Thunderball have too though, that's a good sign. Maybe they'll all be new by the time UHDs come out, if they do.

So Skyfall only has the BBFC logo (not a problem), but they can't get the spine to line up....

I've been hating on his super-short haircut since the day the teaser dropped.

For about a week or two ago Amazon Prime had every Bond movie up in 4K UHD including Never Say Never Again. It was well done but didn't stick around long.

Never Say Never Again is in UHD already?

But only digital / Amazon prime, not physical media (according to the film's release page).
