This release taught me.

NEVER pre-order a 4K. It was seriously the last 1 I have ever pre-ordered.

They are literally the exact same disc, cover art aside. Hence the 'loon' comment.

Literally the exact same DISC CONTENT, then. Unless matey on Facebook is just talking about the cover art?

I thought my reaction would raise some eyebrows. It's certainly not perfect, the removal of the film grain lends to a sometimes creamy, overly smooth picture, and a few other things that've been pointed out already many times. See it from my perspective though, I've never had the means to get to watch my films on anything bigger than 26", and for some years I never had a tv at all, so any new details I get to see this time around on this release were enough to leave me happy.

I donít know if it is known here, that there is a petition for a less denoised picture, a better color grading and the original CDS sound mix.:

https://www.change.org/p/james-camer...pecial-edition

As it seems, the original Oscar winning CDS sound mix never was released on HD/UHD versions of T2, instead other multichannel re-mixes where created and are still worse than the original.
Sad to say, in Germany every release iteration had a decline in sound quality, the LD being the best.
Maybe you could join and share the petition too.

If there wasn’t a release of a proper 4K version of T2 to hype up the release of Dark Fate, they most likely won’t even think about it until 2021 for the film’s 30th anniversary.

I'd love a proper 4k with the different versions, like the Blu/dvd, once Cameron is done with the never ending avatar films..... Ugh.

That's even hopeful. I mean didn't die hard have a dozen Blu-ray releases with the same crap transfer? Unless Cameron gets involved no way. Hell, he was involved with the aliens hd and that was a big step up. Other than that we are screwed.

However, T1 looks great in the recent Blu-ray so maybe there's Hope.

Heaven forbid you get ridiculed for giving your honest perspective of the movie in 4K. I felt the same way you did when I finally gave in & purchased. More than happy to own this classic in 4K. I had watched about 90 or so 4K titles already so I do agree with others saying yes there will be much better looking movies you will see in 4K & you started from the bottom.

There's a fence with this title? If ones knows even a smidgen about film then they know the UHD release of T2 is a complete waste of time and money.

Would love a T2 Ultimate Edition just like the DVD release with similar artwork just displaying the T2: Judgement Day text.

Happy accident: i was selling my copy of the Endo Arm on ebay Uk and the deal fell through; i discover that the number on the cardboard box was '1127'. Bearing in mind this is for a collector's item that was limited to 1200, isn't that special.

Then the customer asks me to photograph the actual serial number on the Endo Arm and i do so; the 'shipper' has screwed up, the number, photographed as clear as day, is '0171' out of 1200. The Endo Arm set is still available, and hopefully sold to a collector who would appreciate the piece...

You can just upload it to imgur for free, no account required and takes about five seconds. Has everyone become a lazy bastard overnight?

[edit] Whelk changed his avatar just so he could proudly show off his 0171 numbered arm, despite the image being so small as to be almost indecipherable, saying that he didn't want to pay to upload photos to no stinkin' account when he could change his avatar for free. I reply as per the above message ^. So he sends me a PM aksing for advice on how to upload it, I don't reply straight away as I'm, y'know, not on this forum every second of every day (although it may seem like it!) and before I'd even seen the first PM he sends a snark-filled follow-up 19 minutes later like I'm ignoring him. He's now deleted all references to the photo from the quote post. Jesus dude, try a little patience...
