Watched all of John Wick with the family yesterday. Great transfer that has a lot of low light moments yet didn't feel too dark like other some other 4k discs. (Suicide Squad cough cough...) The color palette really stood out, this time around. You could really see the careful decision in lighting.
Big thumbs up!

I like these threads because its nice to see what other users are watching and their thoughts. Plus sometimes you happen upon movies you may have missed.

I'm watching Deepwater Horizon tonight, will report back.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Great transfer that was worth the upgrade from the 40th Anniversary Collector's Edition. Brought out more detail and seemed like it was a hair brighter in some areas and the grain felt stronger.

I have the UHD HDR disks of Deadpool, Sully, and Deepwater Horizon. All look stunning and have Atmos sound that is equally impressive. I bought the HD quality version of John Wick from the Kaleidescape Store and downloaded it to my Kscape Strato movie server. The film looks great in 1080p when upconverted to UHD and has a wonderful Atmos soundtrack, so I probably won't double dip on it. I do highly recommend John Wick. It is a stylish and often slyly funny bloodbath.

I should add that to me at least, Atmos audio is a bigger improvement over DTS-HD MA 5.1 or 7.1 than UHD HDR is over 1080p upconverted to 4k.

I last watched John Wick on Thursday night. Great movie, great transfer(Saw John Wick Chapter 2 last night and felt that it was even better than the first). Definitely top 10 in PQ. Last one I bought, if you count pre-orders, was a group of 9 from Amazon: Arrival,Billy Lynn, Hacksaw Ridge,Allied, Fantasic Beasts, and Harry Potter 5-8.

Great disk! Enjoyed it a little more the second time. Also got John Wick. That'll be tonight's entertainment.

I am anticipating a bit but will report that the UHD HDR disk of Arrival is scheduled to arrive on Tuesday from Amazon. This was a blind buy so I am anxious to be able to see it.
