I've my UK Endo order locked in, but I'll probably pick up the standard US release too.

I think those threads were moved to the International sub-forum, because nothing was "official" yet. Though, I will say not long after the rumor of The Dark Knight Trilogy being released, Nolan confirmed he was working on 4K remasters, so perhaps the rumors (as it looks like they were coming from the same initial source) were pointing in the right direction?

If those all do end up coming out in the October time frame, I'm going to be frigging broke, because I can't see me not buying each of those.

Hey Pieter, what are the releases for September/October?
Thank you.

To answer your other question:

Blade Runner
ET
Close Encounters
The Mummy 99
Split
Get Out
Wonder Woman(?)

to name a few

Given that it won't be breaking the bank, coming from Lionsgate, it'll be a good fall-back if the Euro UHD disc does get shafted in some way or another.

Thanks Pieter. Yeah, like you said, Sept/Oct are big months if these dates hold (that's more about the Nolan films and the rest of the HP series). Hoping Apollo 13 gets a US release so I don't have to import. And yeah, can't believe I forgot about Blade Runner, Baby Driver, and Wonder Woman.

Also can't believe I forgot Split and Get Out, mostly because I already have those on Blu Ray and was kind of irritated that the 4K wasn't released at the same time...will make upgrading to those not a big priority because I'm going to divert the money to some of the other titles coming out, and then just hope that Get Out and Split are on sale during Black Friday.

This looks like a nice collector's set with the endoarm and all but the only way I'm buying it on 4K Blu-ray is if it gets a new 4K transfer from the original negative. I'm tired of all of these catalog releases made from an original 2K digital source with the edge enhancement cranked up to 11.

Looks like I'll be buying a ton of UHD's this fall/winter. Good thing I'm not buying a $175 cybernetic arm replica, tempting as it is. That's like 6 to 8 UHD's right there. Also, no new hardware to pick up this year, and only one game I'm interested in, so I can focus on movies.

Really would like that arm, though. The only other swag I have on top of my book case is the bionic arm from Metal Gear Solid V, and they would be bros.

Only one game???

Well consider yourself lucky cause after this year's E3, it became immediate apparent I will be spending a lot of money on games this Autumn. Also considering getting the Switch and then there's all the movie releases on top of that.

So the press release says 6000 limited edition to the USA but there's no actual USA preorder right now?

This Autumn? 2018 was the message for me. Shadow of the Colossus the Remake, Detroit, God of War, Ni No Kuni 2, Monster Hunter World, A Way Out, Anthem, Skull and Bones, Metro Exodus, Ace Kombat 7, Spider-Man, and my lost money.

It's due for a 4K HDR refresh, though I wouldn't be surprised if they recycle the older 4K finish and give it some fake HDR. It's possible we might get it this year or early next year, if they don't go back and re-do the 4K mastering with modern processes. I think we're more likely to get it with the definitive announcement/release date of a new T-Film, which James Cameron is supposed to be doing.

Something about this doesn't add up:

Amazon UK have an extremely limited number of copies available and sell out within hours;

Zavvi have a (UK exclusive edition?) that seems to be open and unlimited edition based on the number of fans ordering it.

There is NO order option as of this posting for US fans for the 2 disc edition.

So what gives?

It just got annmounced. You need to give them time to post up preorder pages.
